Don't stress "Fictitious" servants. Heracles is no more real than King Arthur, the Knights of the Round Table, Merlin and Dracula along with every myth/fable/folklores in this world where magic is real. All those old stories are most likely real with those people having been real at some point. You can even say Jesus can be summoned as a Servant.

The grail mud didn't do anything to him, idk why there are people in the fandom who think he got "corrupted" by it. It attempted to but, and I'm not joking, the LITERAL canonical reason that Gil was unaffected by the grail was because his ego was too big. It tried to blacken him and he said "lol no". The reason he's such a dickbag in FSN is because he's spent the past 10 years seeing how far humanity has fallen since his time.

Yeah Apocrypha is kinda weird tbh. Like it had some of the best servants and fights in the franchise, but on the other hand, the story and like half the cast were a dumpsterfire. It's good for a mindless fun kinda show, but not if you're looking for something to take remotely seriously. Still infinitely better than Lost Encore.

same, I know grand order doesn't get the best praise as it is pretty fast paced, but overall it is my most enjoyed fate watch as every episode has such well animated fights, and I find all the characters fun. Like i know its not the best story wise etc. but i had the most fun watching it.

In the Greek Myth, Hera drove Heracles mad and tricked him into killing his own wife and children. So, it makes sense that there with Ilyasviel, he had a paternal nature towards her, having the grief of his own children weighing on him

For anyone still confused, the ficticious part comes from the fact that in the Fate universe it is 100% Sasaki never truly existed, while in the Fate verse, King Arthur and such did actually exist. This sasaki is legit just a master samurai who the system said "eh close enough feats wise" and stamped a "Sasaki Kojiro" label on his forehead

I really recommend that you should try to watch Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia after this one. You'll get better insight what kind of a man Gilgamesh really was during his lifetime before becommin heroic spirit. It'll change your view of him a bit.

It was written by 2 separate people. Fate/Zero was a passion novel inspired by the Heaven's Feel route in the original VN. Nasu worked with the author, Gen (the guy who wrote Psycho Pass, Madoka Magica, Black Lagoon ect) to tie loose ends and include it into the Nasu-verse. That's why some of the characters seem different.
