Just thought of this after rewatching this again. Couldn't Atom Eve essentially live forever? Since she can manipulate the very atoms of her cells she could ensure that her genetic code didn't break down and even rebuild it since as we age our genetic material begins to have errors and that leads to death, cancers, etc.

Remember Red Rush case, Olga knew about his double life but he was always busy doing hero work and she suffered from it. As Amber knew about the secret, she could have also hinted a conversation for him to "confess" but I think it would still bother her that she couldn't have him when she wanted. For that I think their relationship should just end there. I think it's better for both of them.

She was clearly still alright with him moments before. Also, there are different levels of seriousness he can have about the relationship from making it exclusive, to asking her to marry him or have kids, but that doesn't mean Mark's seriousness had to be telling her his big secret. It just seems like they were on different pages when Mark said he'd do better as Amber thought it meant telling her his secret and Mark thought it meant being able to better balance his relationship and superhero stuff.

Her powers don't work on organic matter. I know she grew a forest before, but many shows disregard trees when they talk about superpowers that can't affect organic matter. So when Mark got hurt, Eve wouldn't have been able to rearrange his atoms to heal his wounds, or turn Omni-Man's blood into human blood. It keeps the characters from being too OP as molecular control is already such a powerful ability.

Quick explanation of the Amber situation, because it feels like a lot of folks aren't really seeing why Amber made the decision she did. So like Eve said, everyone was telling Mark to "choose" to pick a manageable option that he could put the proper time and energy into doing right. But Mark kept trying to "have it all", which led to him being a self-admittedly terrible boyfriend to Amber. Standing her up at so many very important events and making her feel unloved and unimportant in their relationship. No one was necessarily telling Mark not to be a superhero or not to save people, but rather to make a decision and stick to it, to avoid hurting people. Like Eve also put it, she didn't tell Mark to string Amber along for months. The reason why Amber didn't care that he told her in the end is because well nothing has changed. Mark is still a superhero with fragmented interests. Him telling her doesn't mean that he won't still be standing her up, and him telling her doesn't erase the months of him bailing and having her as a second priority. Something that would not have been an issue if Amber had known and had all the cards to make an informed decision. But she didn't, the only one with the total knowledge in that situation was Mark, and he kept choosing a pathway that made him feel good because he could keep "having it all" even while Amber was clearly being affected by the absences and bailing. It's regular relationship and priority stuff, Amber is entitled to her feelings because Mark did hurt her and just because he tells her why he hurt her doesn't mean she's obligated to take him back, especially if structurally speaking nothing has changed. Only difference is now she'll know what he's doing when he stands her up, but if that's not what she wants out of a relationship then that's completely fine

To answer the girl on the left, if she was a super hero she better be 1000% sure that whoever she tells her secret identity isn't just a mere "boyfriend" but someone who will be around for the rest of your life. Why? Because people knowing a super heroes identity also means they will know your "families" identity and I'm sure your family members don't all have powers so if I'm a bad guy and I target your family because I found out from your ex boyfriend what your secret identity is, then you could only blame yourself. TL:DR = A super heroes' secret identity is LITERALLY a life or death situation, for yourself and your family and your friends, anyone connected to you in real life could become a target by your enemies. With that said there is no damn way you should just be telling someone that you've only been dating a few months something that important. Amber behaved like a typical stereotypical dumb broad in this show. It's quite upsetting.

If she were as charitable as the show tries to portray her to be, she would have told him as soon as she found at he was invincible. This is just as much her own fault. If she was not ready for a relationship with a superhero then she shouldn't have given him another chance, because ultimately that implies her assumption is that Mark would give up being a hero in order to be with her, even further this makes the scene where she pops off at him for ditching them even dumber as she was RIGHT in front of Mark's best friend meaning his lie was still protecting his identity as far as she knew, so her "you lied to me" excuse fails, leaving her as a jerk who yelled at a guy who did protect her. I was with her until this episode, now I hope they don't even interact again.

Like I wanna sympathize but no, I don't agree with Amber. If she knew, figured it out or suspected that he was Invincible then she should've said something. Especially if she was serious about the relationship. Once she knew, the one playing games isn't Mark, it's her. And it's also unfair to put unrealistic expectations on him, especially when you know what his life is like. The only person she can be mad at is herself.

I feel like y'all are missing the point. Amber is under no obligation to be with someone who can't actually be with her. Eve literally said the same thing when she explained to Mark that his issue was stringing her along for a long time instead of just saying "Yo I have responsibilities that supersede this relationship and so I can't do this". At which point she could have said "ah ok we're done then I guess". Instead Mark kept promising to "Do Better" when he couldn't and so she'd think ah ok I guess things will be better but then they were exactly the same. No one is telling Mark not to save people's lives. But you can't expect everyone to just get on your bandwagon because you're saving lives. So should she accept a subpar relationship to accomodate you wanting to both save lives and still date her? Absolutely not, if she's like, yo what I want you can't give to me then of course she's going to leave him.
