Eh, I don't buy that tbh. I mean, her behavior was kinda motherly yes, but they look nothing alike (but I guess that's never stopped ppl from being related in anime). I heard someone theorize that because Satella consumed the witches, each witch we have been seeing has a bit of her in them, while still having their own personalities. That's one possibility.

Yeah, idk how two reactor groups I've watched have gotten that out of that interaction. It was clearly a "What? What are you talking about?" and then "Yeah, we might as well be sisters" kind of vibe. Otherwise Elsa would've been like, "How did you know?" or just not respond to it at all. Also Maylie probably would've called her "onee-san" or "Elsa-nee."

Man you guys really forgot a lot from the first half of season 2. Roswaal was always the cause of the blizzard that attracted the Great Rabbit to the Sanctuary not the Rabbits causing it. So most likely Roswaal is doing the spell again like he said he would last episode.

Dang... so in the end, Garf surprisingly had a better chance with Elsa and crushed her. Had to be done, but damn. They dropped a LOT of info on her this episode. She was one of my favorite characters in this show.

Remember how originally Subaru didn't remember Echidna after he first met her? But then when he went into the trial and saw her at the end of it he remembered her again? I think the same thing is applying here... Emilia literally doesn't remember Echidna. I think she only remembers the trial itself. I could be wrong, but I can't think of any other reason why Emilia would not know who she is there. Also, in anime, never assume a character is dead if you don't actually see their lifeless corpse on-screen. She got blown away, but she was still in one piece, and it cut to the credits right after. Hopefully Puck has enough juice to heal her up real quick. I swear if Ram is dead the next ep I'm gonna lose my shit.

Yooooo, I just listened the the line "You are a hero, a hero is all you can be" that line is from one of the what-ifs made by the author where subaru becomes the biggest villain in the show and ends up letting Emilia kill him so she can be the ruler, his last words in that timeline were exactly that

I love subaru and he is quite literally the pinpoint of all of the characters and their connections in this series. He is my favorite in this series. Just because you don't understand his character doesn't mean he is unlikable and he is the most interesting one out of the bunch.

If Lupa didn't show up to rezero reactions acting like he didn't care and being bias against subaru and trying to roast him over everything I would assume he would know some more of the cool connections the story has revealed opposed to him figuring out this episode that he literally missed a big component in the story between ram and roswaal. I am glad lupa at least seemed more interested in actually understanding the series this time around cause in the past he has had episodes to where he really didn't seem all that interested and was so caught up in seemingly calling stuff out as opposed to understanding and being interested in the story.

What is interesting is that Rem's confession to Subaru and Ram's confession to Roswaal are paralleled with each other. During Rem's confession, Rem was singing in the OST. During Ram's confession, Ram sung this time. There was also opposite color schemes of each other: Subaru with the blue sky behind him matching with Rem's blue hair. Roswaal's red aura with fire burning around them matching Ram's red hair

Rem confesses and everything gets taken away from her. Ram confesses and gets a fire bolt thrown at her - at least Roswaal didn't say he loved Echidna.

This just might be the best episode of the season for me. The fighting, the emotional stuff and then the way that song kicks in towards in the end and it just goes into the credits as ram gets blown away. Good stuff. Well that last part wasn't good stuff but overall a great episode.

So nobody talking about the biggest mystery in this episode. Emilia says at who is person inside that coffin with Echidna's clothing. This made me question does the Echidna we see in the dream world actually is not her real appearance. That is why for Emilia the body looked different as that is the real face of her and if it's revealed again for us all it will have a face that looks more like Emilia, making her the real mother. Pure speculation only from me. Another tip for this idea is from that flashback with Beatrice, Roswaal, Ryuzu & Echidna. Greed's face isn't shown at all and that is, because her real face looks different from what has been shown to us. Hell even more makes me think that is why she would cry from Emilia's memories as she knew Fortuna and see what happened to her.

I actually think that Minerva is (like 80-90% probability) Emilia's mother, actually. That scene had to have meant something, and there must have been a reason why she didn't want Emilia to turn around (she's also speaking in an entirely uncharacteristic way this time, not even trying to keep up the facade of "being angry" like she tried to be edgy when Subaru was in the Tea Party). Minerva seems to be a human, and we know that Emilia's father is a full Elf (because Fortuna is too), and Emilia got her hair color & eyes from her father, specifically as mentioned by Fortuna. And since the Sanctuary is able to keep her trapped, her mother would have to be Human by definition. Her line about Emilia being a "bad girl" sounded like something a mother would say, especially the tone etc Also "I know X very well" is a generic trope line when a person is referring to themselves without wanting to reveal they are said person, so it seems to match all the implied tropes at least

To clear up some confusion. I offer a theory and logical explanation for the Reason why Emilia didn't recognize Witch of Greed. I am pretty sure you lose your memories of all the trials. Subaru only remembered because Echidna allowed him to, by giving him something to remember her by. Emilia didn't, therefore she immediately doesn't remember the events of the trials. She does however have her memories back now.

Probably not the case, m8. Emilia said, "Who's this? This should be Echidna's Grave." Meaning that she still has a frame of reference of the person in the coffin NOT looking like Echidna. Emilia also described the trials to the villagers and Ram in a way that suggested she knew what was happening and what to expect, so I think she's retaining them. It'd be pointless if she didn't, since she needs to remember all this growth. Even Garfiel remembered the content of his trial. The truth of that matter is that WE don't know what the real Echidna looked like. In Ryuzu's, Roswaal's, and Beatrice's shared memories, the way she's supposed to look in their eyes is never actually show.

People believe that Minerva is the mother. If she is, I'm going to be so disappointed. I waited for a huge reveal, only to get some random witch. I just want to know why they're hiding Echidna's face and why Emilia saw the body and wondered who it was. Also, I highly doubt Ram is dead. Subaru's goal is to try to save everyone he cares for. Her dying would be weird at this point in the show, unless....you know what, nevermind, I don't know where I'm going with this. I just want to see Emilia's father.

How is it disappointing it’s better than Witch of envy being her mom it was explained in the beginning of the season well kinda but ppl just don’t remember that is the witch of greed only remembering when they’re in the trial or speaking with the witches at the tea party. Could be why Minerva tells Emilia to not look at her it might trigger Emilia in some way or something idk.

I think Garfield just became a vampire in this episode. Lore-wise, a Vampire becomes mortal when someone they bit & turned bites them back. Since Elsa & Garf were biting each other, Elsa would've turned him, and he would've reverted Elsa.
