For the first question Senku used the amount of money that Lilian had to pay to get onto the spaceship and doubled that number since she's a top singer who usually makes more than that and then translated that to number of CDs sold which he said 60mil. Also Gen knew that record companies held parties when an artist reach a certain amount of CDs/copies sold so he estimated based on Senku's estimation and went with 50mil.

What people could classify as "S tier" would mainly all come down to preference and enjoyment much better than taking all the aspects of a series and putting them up against other series. This series has things that other series don't even have. People could enjoy those things a lot and find them to be great and important. It would be better to just say you would rate an anime based on how you feel about it than pit them up against each other. Obviously every anime has some sort of downfall that could be brought up and every anime has its own strengths. As long as nothing is just totally awful and noticeably bad than it can be higher or lower than other series of the same value depending on the individual and what they look for in a series. Basically I don't find using ranks to classify anime or any series is the best thing to do. That is just the way I look at it. Like for example people say AOT is one of the best series. I would rate this higher than AOT from my point of view because I value and enjoy the aspects that this anime has more than what AOT has. Story writing can be detailed and sophisticated and great but that isn't the only thing that a series can offer.
