Just so y'all know, "Devil of Melancholy" was just a shit translation by CR. The real name is "Warlock of Melancholy" i.e. the male equivalent of Witch. It just so happens that warlock and devil use the same symbol and whoever translated it i guess just didn't know the context well enough to realize which one was correct.

Why do you guys assume his power is unseen hands? You literally say that is exactly what it is when you clearly don't have any idea whether it is a different power or not. Unseen hand was simply just shown from Betelguese and Subaru now has some type of form of unseen hand. You guys assume too much and act like it is the exact thing you assume. You can't do that with this series. That is why Sheera gets so much shit wrong when she assumes every single thing in these reactions. Assuming things with this series before they give actual information just causes more confusion. Their is nothing wrong with trying to figure stuff out but you need actual evidence and information to do that.

If you think about it we have been shown the unseen hands every time even if the characters themselves can't see it. Just because you can't see his attacks doesn't mean it is specifically that power. You will call it out now and then later on if they go over this information you will get confused because you thought it was unseen hand without any actual evidence to go off of that.

There's a theory says that Echidna couldn't beat Hector so she used her authority(which is still unknown but people are assuming it's the ability's to move souls because she created Beatrice and sprit's need souls) to move hector's soul into Roswal and that's why roswal talks and dresses like Hector and that's why his eye is like that, because before he dressed and talked like a normal dude with the same color eyes until that fight.

Noticing a trend of these dudes falling for women and it eventually turning them into psychos. Roswaal for Echidna, Beetlegieuse for Mother whatsherface, and Subaru for Emilia... But the biggest thing I noticed is how the guy that pulled up on Echidna and Roswaal draws out some of his words in the same weird way that CURRENT clown mode Roswaal does.. Interesting

So my theory is that Echidna put Hectors soul inside Rosewaal to save his life. That's why Rosewaal now talks like him, dresses like him, and has 2 different color eyes. And why Ram made it sound like old Rosewaal from the flashback was a different person or version than the current one.

Did Emilia really finish the final 2 trials, it was shown her in the same spot we saw her last episode crying. So I think she just managed to stop crying and come back out with finishing the 1st trial. So no she hasn't done the last 2 trials...well next episode will clear that up.

Since Hector's eye is not yellow, I think you might be right to some degree, but instead of Hector's eye, what if its Echidna's? She has really dark eyes now but in the past, it never shows her eyes, maybe because its yellow like Roswaal's left eye now? Also I noticed too the outfit and way of talking is similar with Hector and current Roswaal. Not sure what's up with that.

Magic Release Period is what Puck had in that 1 OVA, which happens when your internal mana overloads, and starts to break down your body if not vented to outside (it essentially caused an unnatural blizzard for days, of arctic levels, in said OVA, because of Puck's scale). It varies from individual to individual. This is also one of the reasons why he's kinda "fixing" Ram's fucked up horn area, because it's a means of him venting out excess mana to stabilize himself, while at the same time at least remedying a portion of Ram's compromised physiology due to having lost her horn

Also, Japanese DOESN'T have a male term equivalent to "Witch". The only closest equivalent would be the gender neutral generic term "Majutsushi". Also, the OFFICIAL translations of the LNs use Devil, not Warlock (once again because Japanese doesn't have a term for "Warlock" like it has a term equivalent for "Witch"), so this time it ain't CR's slave-grade subbers' fault for fucking up, cuz it's literally the official term

I think the reason why they didn't show Echnida's face throughout the episode is to leave a mystery to her actual motives. In this case, her hidden facial expression seemed fake and acted out to manipulate the others to go along with her plan. If they did show her facial expressions, the viewers may get deceived into empathizing with her and may think she is not evil, especially with her conversation with Ryuzu and Ros

They don’t state it, but you have to leave the trial grounds and then re-enter to start the next trial. That’s why Subaru didn’t automatically jump into the 2nd and 3rd trial when he finished the first one.
