I mean, there are very little reactions to this as it is. I'm glad it's getting more exposure honestly. The studio really stepped it up in the later episodes! You can tell that they're really passionate about this series and want to deliver the best they can despite their limited staff and resources. I'd say this was a good choice since it's underrated too. I think they'll really enjoy it. It's certainly one of the more unique anime out there right now.

He'd deff die from losing that much skin, there's multiple ways to die from losing too much skin, I think if this were set in modern times it'd be different, but in 1904 he's essentially dead. but this is also anime so they'd find a way to make him survive it if they wanted to lol.

Ainu are basically the indigenous people to Hokkaido Japanese took over Hokkaido at some point. They are basically like the Native Americans, tribal people who lived in areas of Russia and Hokkaido until Russians/Japanese took their lands over. Look it up. This shows actually based on all real life cultural shit and places/things.
