The cliffhanger! great episode. Love the knighting scene. The whole aesthetic of the Britanian empire is sick, especially that sound track that always comes with it

The thing is I never found Suzaku to be terribly annoying because his actions at least do have reasons albeit selfish in the grand scheme. However, personally for him it's understandable why he's like this. I think his character would've benefited more if his ideals actually were more cemented and not painted in a way that they could be potentially swayed or manipulated and he has more conviction in them so he could at least stand eye to eye with Lelouch on an at least ideological level. He's a guy with no real direction with the guilt of killing his father and searching for atonement as his only driving motivation so far. It makes his character as the obedient soldier look so boneheaded when he's taken advantaged all the time.

I agree, the execution of Suzaku's ideals is poorly flushed out. His method is actually is proper way to make change, by changing people's views not by force or fear, that's why he's trying to rise in the ranks of the government to make people see him as someone like them. He doesn't know about geiss or supernatural powers, in his mind proper change can only be done by influence at the top. What he's saying is right though, change through terrorism won't lead to anything, it'll just reverse the roles. Instead of flushing out his ideals they just make him say "Zero is wrongggg!!!!!!" Yeah Split second to dodge a bombardment despite suzaku being the only guy to dodge machine gun bullets lol I suspend my disbelief in this show because of that scene

Yeah, I'm not saying it's at all realistic, but it's not like he was moving faster than the bullets, he was moving faster than the computer could track him and rotate the gun. There was a very slight delay on the tracking and he used that to avoid the bullets, so it's not as ridiculous as it seems.
