I've come to the best realization ever from the ending of Episode 13, Fire Force is basically FF7 but with Fire instead of Mako. I'm sure it's not an exact 1:1 but I mean you can definitely make the comparison between Haijima and Shinra Electric Power Company. Sorry if I'm late on this but it just makes me like the show that much more.
