"she looks pretty normal to me... nevermind. 😐" 🤣

Alluka is pretty much trans but Killua is the only one that refers to her with female pronouns.

melo

Alluka is Trans but Killua is the only person in their family that respects her wishes and calls her by her female pronouns.

Eirei_Emiya

I think the thing is female while Alluka is male.

jesse almonte

Alluka is biologically a male, but identifies as a female

Stuart Hanmore

Yes Alluka is essentially trans but identifies as female. The majority of the Zoldyck family refuses to do so and uses male identifiers because of that, while Killua is the only one who uses female identifiers. However it should be clarified that the Zoldycks technically arent using male identifiers but rather genderless ones because they see Alluka as a thing, not as a person. Unfortunately, due translation limitations it shows up as male identifiers in the subs

Shaw

Did u record these before going to sleep? u look tired af

Shaw

Alluka's a trap

MrNoor114

IDK if u noticed it or not but at 17:20 killua was learning about darts, its a good recall from that episode of the ants that used the dartboard nen power fish thing during the chimera ant arc. Proving again hunter hunter doesn't leave any stone unturned.

JunpeiFES .

I never knew that, but its true, the picture show her as a boy even tho she looks like a girl when younger and older now. And i am with the other guys, i thought thing was a female and alluka a boy. But it doesnt make sense either way since they show her appearances. Good thing to know this

Nate D.

All zoldyck kids are boys

awesomeusername

The only other explanation other than Alluka being trans is that Alluka is actually a girl, but "Nanika" who grants wishes is a boy. So essentially its two beings sharing one body.

Komeru

Killua called the Make A Wish foundation

DaSol

from what i understand thats not true alluka is a boy biologically and only Killua refers to her as a girl everyone else refers to her as a guy because thats what alluka is biologically wise. just like the other brother that joined the spider he looks like a girl buts its a boy

BubbleTea

As someone that's taken anatomy, the duodenum is part of the intestine. Idk if it's a direct translation, but I've always wondered why Alluka specifically asks for it instead of just saying intestine.

Sunshine Hall

Just so you know, Alluka is a boy, Nanika is a girl. So Killua switches pronouns in Japanese a lot. When Alluka is brought up he says male pronouns similar to brother for Allu, but when Nanika is present he switches to sister and stuff.

BubbleTea

Also i died at Roshi shook af when that butler got crushed to smithereens.

JD

Most succinct explanation I've seen.

JD

Killua, only one in the family that cares about or respects Alluka as a person, and as his sibling, calls her a girl. The rest of the family, who don't care about Alluka and think of them as an "it" and not part of the family, don't.

Joel Braaten

Those requests were horrifying lmao.

Skurp

Alluka is a boy, nanika is a girl

Griffin Quinn

Mathwiz has a good video on Togashis trans characters throughout his career. I recommend it!

Peach

He's done more trans characters? that's great, I didn't know that. Glad he and his wife have been breaking the gender norms since the 90's

Peach

Alluka born male still identifies as female, probably due to Nanika since they share the same body

Cori Curry

I cannot understand how people that I see online and stuff always calls someone “it” if they don’t know the gender like tf are you doing calling a human “it” 🤣 just use “they” it’s a pronoun and it’s proper English

Nesko_Pie

Using “they” as a pronoun is a new phenomena. Most normies, as in people who don’t spend a lot of time online, aren’t even aware of social justice or woke concepts especially anyone who isn’t from Gen Z or millennials under the age of 30.

ShadowMan

What i dont see is why is it such a big deal it really shouldnt matter what so ever

Daniel S

maybe the person who said it is from a country where 3 pronouns exist like in germany, where a childs pronoun is acutally IT

IAmABacon

@Nesko_Pie maybe you should spend at least 3 seconds researching something before spouting nonsense. "The word they (with its counterparts them, their, and themselves) as a singular pronoun to refer to a person of unspecified gender has been used since at least the 14th century." If you've made it to your 30s without referring to someone as 'they' when you didnt know what they were, then you've lived a strange life. Especially when you've no way of telling genders with a lot of online usernames.

ok

@IAmABacon good response. what a ridiculous agenda they are trying to push lol ... trying to act as if trans people dont exist outside of "woke" online culture.

Anonymous

It’s not even just about trans people, it is just common proper English lmao.
