What a way to bring it full circle! This has been a masterpiece of an arc, no stone left unturned, everything had its purpose. No power scaling issues, packed with emotion and high stakes. If I could rank it higher than a 10/10 I would. Plus two other arcs (or more, not sure if whats going on with Killua is a separate arc) were set up within this one without it missing a beat. The Kite reveal was amazing and Reina reveal emotional. Now I need to know whats going on with GON!!!

Agreed. If it wasn't overshadowed by Chimera Ant arc and was its own anime, I believe it could have been the best of a season.

Completely agree, pretty sure the netero fight was supposed to play out like a game of gungi, also, gons arc and the kings arc were completely flipped, but nearly identical when u look at it, one began a monster one ended as one, with meruem learning to care for someone, and gon throwing away his friends. Pretty interesting, fantastic writing

also if you notice the arm and leg netero lost was the same arms and legs he tried not to use with gon, and also in the openings he always used only the one leg and arm. epic forshadows

You’re completely right about the gungi symbolism for this entire arc. Especially in the last game that they play together. There are some videos with explanations that dig a lot deeper into the symbolism but you’re spot on.
