The manga illustrates it better where they're "flying". It's really just anime hang time and using their stands to make powerful jumps and kicks. Kinda like how Deku flew by kicking of the air against Overhaul.

I heard that in the manga, they make it more clear that Dio and Jotaro aren't flying but jumping around on buildings and stuff. The anime makes it look like they are flying.

Also Jotaro knocked Dio into a bookstore so that's probably where Jotaro got the magazines from.

@YaBoyRoshi Did you notice at 3:45 that each transition immediately following that shows how each character ended up dying/getting hurt? Abdul diving at Iggy/Polnareff, Kakyoin surrounded by strings that get torn, Joseph with a line(knife) at his throat, and Jotaro with knifes flying at him from every direction.

no not really. jeah in the manga the show some kicks of the walls, but it still doesn't make sense. The straight start up hovering of the ground, doing dodges in the air without anything to push off from etc. it is not logical, it is just rule of cool
