a few clarifications although others mightve pointed them out. But the reason why they were so relaxed was because they were WITHIN the walls, more specifically they were withing Wall rose, the 2nd layer wall. Wall maria was the most outer wall that was broken in the first ep of the show. That was why it was suspicious that the veteran scouts were wearing 3d gear while the recruits were not because there shouldnt be any titans around. This is not a spoiler but just in case you miss it, but mike when he smelled the titans, he said, "there are no titans within the new recruits" something like that. So erwin placed them there while they were off capturing annie because he suspected that some of the new recruits were also titan shifters. but now that they discovered a group of titans has potentially breached wall rose, they have to warn everyone in the area.

There is actually a manga that takes place the 100 years before the start of the main manga and you actually see the start of the 3d maneuver gear and everything. It’s called attack on titan: before the fall if you are interested.

This series is up there with MHA in terms of music for me. It definitely has plenty of bangers with their OST's just like MHA does. (I am not talking about openings and endings I am talking about the actual background music they use in the anime)

I have no idea how far you guys watch ahead, so I'll go ahead and let you know there are some post-credits scenes in season 3. This show isn't known for them, so a lot of people miss them, but they're *extremely* important. I won't say which episodes the post-credits scenes are in, though.

I super suggest going back and looking at season 1 again. There are some very important things that happened and big moments in this show are HEAVILY tied to plot. You might think the show is lame if you don’t catch on to them
