Note Ikalgo kept to his word and didn't betray anyone. He kept secret about seeing Killua's yo-yos and still didn't say anything about his chimera ant buddies' abilities either. He's a man of his word.

By this time, you should realise that Gon's anything but naive. He clearly thinks ahead and is intelligent enough to strategise. The reason he's "naive" is actually a conscious decision to give people a benefit of the doubt. Gon knows very well that he's capable enough to handle the consequences so he's confident that he has the leeway to "trust". What that also means is that he trusts AND doesn't trust at the same time.

At the risk of sounding super sappy, I just wanted to quickly thank you guys for making so much new content with all this coronavirus bullshit going on. Some of the other channels I watch have slowed to a crawl since this all started and it actually does keep the spirits up to have a bit of normalcy. Can't wait for the next reactions to drop. I mean, he is naive in one key way. His understanding of more complex morality and emotional maturity. Which is what lets him keep his "childlike" character trait despite his maturity in other areas

I would disagree. He clearly understands complex morality/emotional maturity and chose to ignore them. This scene and many before showed that Gon already considered other options. That's not naivety.

I mean, he flat out has shown that he doesn't. The entire York New arc was him asking how the spiders could choose to ignore those things. He ignores them yes, but in the same way a kid ignores them. Not from some deep self reflective process, but rather simply cause they don't need to register for him. He doesn't really care about the opinion of anyone who isn't his friends or tied to Ging, so why would he pay attention to their moral preachings or perspectives

Once again I disagree. The manner in which Gon asked the Spiders the question shows introspection and thought. It's not really the way in which someone ignorant would pose questions. It's the same reason how he could easily sense Pakunoda's intentions and the contradictions within the Spiders. He chooses to ignore morality only when he knows he could handle it. At this point, there's no naivety in Gon.

they can only communicate like that in certain distances and they were so shocked at them just being beheaded. pitou literally gave tony the tiger a cellphone because of the distance issues, flutter would have flown very far away in the 30 seconds of talking w killua

Don't think Killua would have definitely died or anything he hadn't have spared octobro, since if he had left him to fall into the water he probs would have been more aware of the surroundings and not gotten the target placed on him in the first place

no it made no sense at all, their is now way to produce sound to speak with just a head. Let's just assume they will stay alive, but physically they still can't talk. It takes enclosed airflow to coordinate sounds. Think about when you talk, you are using the air in your lungs. Definitely needed some suspension of disbelief in this episode.
