Fun fact, the singers for this intro are the three singers for the first three Jojo's intros. They really tie it in to the whole 3 generations of Jojo's theme going on in the intro.

When the color changes, and it's slow motion, focused on one individual, dramatic... pretty sure it's happening in a split second. Kakyoin and Polnareff don't have DBZ reflexes. It's also a brand new enemy, they're probably slightly dumbfounded and in a little shock, hindering their movement for a moment or two. Even the most badass peeps can get frozen in place sometimes, even despite what they went through. Even though they have stands, they're still only human.
