I remember watching this episode as a kid and understanding aangs pain. I remember me thinking at my age of 7 that I wanted aang to murder the sand benders. Because if anyone took what I loved away I wouldn’t care who would be around cause I want what I love back and I’d lash out too. And watching it agian. I personally would have killed the sand benders. But it’s good that aang didn’t.

5:46 I always thought that line was just supposed to be a joke. I never thought about it alluding to the white lotus 🤣 🤣.

Saucy Jonathan

Stealing appa? This stupid ass random character deserved to get all he’s bloodline eradicated

JotaroDrake

Aang being pussy about killing niggas will always hold him back to me. Zuko the goat of this universe

Gabby Boakye-yiadom

One of the rare moments where Aang almost ditched the Monk teachings and just lets his emotions drive him off.

Ballerizana

How many episodes we getting bro 😊😊

Devin Jersey

thank you for the 4 hxh and 2 avatar vids in 1 day. keep up the grind!

Btw Katara isn't the oldest. Aang and Toph are 12, Katara is 14, and Sokka is 15. Sokka was just high off of cactus juice and couldn't do anything haha.

Mten10th

You guys jump to conclusions very quickly. Sokka saying they wouldn't be able to make it out of the desert was him stating facts, not being ungrateful. Also, as emotional as some of your reactions can be (nothing wrong with it, just making a point) how are ya'll gonna be mad at a 12 year old for having an emotional outburst when he loses someone very close to him.

Shaw

Aang is technically 112 years old, just his biological and mental clock is stuck at 12. He was born a century ago.

Shamar

Yeah bro appa was the only thing he has left of his people

Kingjasco

First life Aang ever took was that insect. Against monk teachings, very big moment for his character

Mten10th

One more thing, you guys judge characters too harshly. This was a very emotionally draining episode where the usually happy go lucky main character was not himself. Sokka was needed for comic relief seeing as this is a children's show.

Rcl

Lol lupa said blow their clothes.

HollowedSlayer

Aang killing that Vulture-Hornet was a very big deal for his character, foregoing his monk teachings and acting purely based on emotion. Shows how much Appa means to him and how distraught he is.

bruh why y'all hate sokka so much lmao

L

Uhhhh I don't think Katara is the oldest one. I am pretty sure Sokka is her older brother.... Where the fuck you get that info. from Roshi? I know obviously technically Aang is the oldest but even Sokka is older than Katara is.

Eugene Conner

Just to add to the sandbending answer she had to bend sand to get footing to keep the library up and not sink.

Davon Thomas

The first time we see aang talk while in the avatar state. So good

Lalisa Truong

Technically the first time was back in S1 during the Winter Solstice episodes lol. Remember the "I'm ready"? The second time was at the end of S1 after the Moon Spirit was killed with the "No, it's not over".

Belt Cedd

"The golden booty" Bruh I can't with this man! 🤣🤣🤣

The Pebble

Hallucinations are literally in your mind, so idk why they would think if they can't see, nothing would happen lmao

Anonymous

IMO Katara held it down this episode

Lightning Strike Fitness

YOOOO LMAO!! The SECOND the episode started "You little bitch!" LMFAO

Mten10th

They seem to only value characters who have been shown to be successful in fights, and since the show has yet to give Sokka any actual fights, they seem to view him as useless and get overly annoyed with him. That's how I see it at least.

PS

Lupa angry Sokka for being too loud is irony at it's best

Arsean Wilbon

Rage trigger fire. Being rigid and unmoving is for earth, calm and cool is water, free and light hearted and neutral is air.

Bona Fide

I am so teary-eyed. Every time for this episode :'(

AK Jay

Something funny happens Lupa: *opens mouth as wide as possible* JAKAJAJAJAJAJAKAHAHAJA

Squartoise

"She's surprisingly the calm one for once" Katara is usually the calm one, her outbursts from The Chase episode aren't her norm, lol.

seireidoragon .

You have to also remember that Appa is Aang's spirit guide just like Roku has his dragon. Appa's probably been with him since he was born which is why he's so upset.

Anonymous

Aang and Appa Met when Aang was a kid, you see it when they were both dreaming it

eastbaynick

24 and I still cry when katara tries to calm him down here.

Anonymous

Sokka is actually the oldest out of them 4

Chris Hawking

Katara is the m.v.p this episode 👍

Anonymous

I straight up yelled out loud laughing at “I knew it”

Anonymous

"catcus jackass, high as hell," bruh y'all reactions kill me lmao

Gangsta Penguin

Toph wasn't just stopping the library from sinking. she stopped WST from dragging it into the spirit world

Kalah Dolman

I don’t care what anyone says, Aang shouldn’t have been yelling at Toph like that. Yeah, he was emotional and blah blah blah, but if he wants to blame someone for Appa’s capture than he has nobody to blame but himself. He decided to leave Appa behind up there, and yes it was for Appa’s own good, but it was his decision to make. He has no business turning on the girl who literally just saved their lives.

Soiren

It's actually quite common to act like that. It's in a way survivor's guilt. You have to remember, Appa is, in a way, all of his original family left. That's nothing against the rest of them, but he's known Appa since he was much younger. That response is normal, even more so for a child. That's why adults have to take it on some level, yes talk reason to them, because you don't want them thinking their behavior or response is ok, but you also have to understand where it comes from. A lot of kids whose parent's died, of cancer or an accident, lash out at everyone around them because they don't know how else to process the emotions. You have to remember, Aang is just a kid, he isn't ready for the level of responsibility people put on him.

Kalah Dolman

You little bitch! Lmao, Roshi, you are just hilarious, and you channeled everything I was thinking and feeling in this episode, especially about Aang and Toph. You can tell Aang wasn’t thinking at all when he was letting his rage control him and shouting at Toph like that. How could Toph have gone in to get him if she was the only thing holding up the building?

cheezeblade

everytime lupa and roshi say the same thing at the same time.

faded

Doesn’t matter if Toph’s blind, definitely still would’ve been tripping lmao.
