WOW what a wrap up for the season! Aang gave them the business!!! Love how its set up for Katara to teach Aang waterbending, and also love the mystery building around Iroh. Great stuff all around and we are excited for Book 2!

I mean if the entire of the purpose of the library is PURELY for knowledge, only to grow in knowledge about anything and everything, then I don't see a problem with having it. The owl spirit was a bit naive on the evil nature of humanity

If you noticed, Sokka and Katara switched "roles" in this ep. Up until this point Katara had been the optimistic voice of the group, letting everyone know that everything's going to work out and that they have to have faith. Her guilt at not being able to protect Aang made her optimism fade and Sokka was their to step up and be the voice of positivity instead.

Wouldn't say worst, just that with each season it gets better and better. Besides, B1 provided a lot of the foundation for the last two. Characters, world-building, etc. and that's just as important

i think its a pretty interesting fact because it only furthers puts shine on how much a genius his sister is even though shes younger(i dont know the ages but i think shes like 13 or 14 and zuko is 15? something around those ages)

Yall say book 1 is good (which is most def is) but book 2 is even better and book 3 is just god tier with its wrap up of all the characters and its ending... god this show is so good

You can tell the creators of the show put so much effort into making something great. The use of colors, foreshadowing, and real martial arts mixed with the fantasy of an idea they came up with came out so well in the finished product. Its hard to believe it was a kids show, but i appreciate it for being a big part of my childhood.

Book 2 and 3 the animation goes above and beyond as well as the themes and story. Glad y’all enjoyed book 1. A lot of fans write it off as the slow season but it’s still an amazing season. Y’all in for a treat!!!

Hey guys if yall love Avatar the last air bender, and decide to continue to the series with Korra I'm all for it. If not another idea is that some of the creators of this series actually worked together and helped produce the show "The Dragon Prince" on Netflix. That show is actually really good and you can tell it was made by some of the same creators as Avatar due to the mysticism and straight up beautiful world building in it. Definitely worth a watch, and I hope you keep this series going at the $5 tier . Stay safe during these times and keep it up!

I've watched Avatar several times over the years, and not once did I ever notice that Yue's eyes were the only thing, aside from bending, that had color in the world after the moon spirit was killed. Thanks! I have a new appreciation for the creators now.

I would recommend dragon prince over Korra. The writing staff that took over from the last air bender writing staff did the series dirty. Honestly, I don’t even consider Korra cannon since the entire writing staff minus the two co-creators is different. The OG writing staff had so much to do with the original story and writing, to try and do a sequel series without any of them is just wrong

yeah spirit world is no joke the original show doesn't do much with it but Legend of Korra is basically all about spirit world problems and the spirits would clap every ass in this show. They basically Gods when they transfer to the mortal world. This episode is the first and only real sneak peak into that craziness

I love how you guys actually get a lot of the writing. Some people didn't catch that Iroh is very spiritual, or that Aang was merged with the ocean spirit, but you guys got it on the first watch and that's so impressive

Can we talk about the fact that a whole spirit known for stealing faces was able to forgive aang for something his past self did but a whole as village wasn't and was about to eagerly kill an actual child because their leader wanted to scream intead of moving away from the newly unstable cliffside lol

Fun fact, Suki also means Moon, just in Japanese. And you know Sokka met Suki first, so I truly believe he was meant to be with her more than anyone. A relationship between him and Yue wouldn’t have worked long-term.

Im very very late with this but it took me several watchthroughs before I caught it: they reused the shot where Iroh picked up the moon spirit from the pond, but reversed it for when he put it back in the pond. Look closely at the water!

I wonder what came first. Zhao going to that library or Yue being born. Probably the former. The moon and ocean spirit crossed over to the mortal world but there's no way they didn't know, or the moon spirit didn't see from the sky him going into the library that had the secret that they probably knew he was looking for. Zhao doesn't exactly strike me as someone who could keep quiet what he was looking for. He'd keep quiet once he found out though, so that would have tipped the moon spirit off that something could go down. Just saying. Also the Oasis where the ocean and moon spirits are is in the heart of the city. Under normal circumstances, no one would just be able to walk in there who didn't have permission. Zhao only knew where they were and what they looked like because of that troublesome scroll he had. I get that library was.....special and normally wouldn't be easy for him to get either for....reasons, but they shouldn't have a scroll that dangerous in there.
