The light novel goes into even more detail on Raphtalia's backstory in this scene. There's alot more that fat fuck did to her friend that really makes you hates him more than the show does.

Lemme guess it has something to do with rape? The one thing that women these days are using so much as a false accusation or excuse that it has gotten to a point to where the word "rape" isn't as sacred and as serious as it should and used to be. At least in my eyes the act of actual rape shouldn't be a word used so lightly by so many as a way of manipulation and being severely exaggerated. You see women these days use that word that refers to a horrible act over something that never even happened or something that was nowhere as serious. Imagine touching a girl (not even inappropriately) and being referred to as a rapist..... I don't know why I rambled on like this lol but your comment made me auto think about it and I absolutely hate how something so foul is being used so lightly these days. The sad thing is women use it and get away with it but when men use it they are seen as petty and liars. These days women are very capable of raping a male because of the preference they get in society (much like this show) and males don't have a choice to act on it or they are the bad person and no one will believe them. I'm not shitting on females but for the gender that always got legit "raped" back in the past times they use that word very lightly in these current times.

It's good when any media allows you to feel something. I think the best thing about this show is it could have easily been another anime that you would enjoy because of the action, characters, ect. but it allows viewers to be able to immerse ourselves in the context of the show because of its theming and relatable story beats.
