Another setup season lol but I enjoyed it!

Pedro Lopez

Knew this would be the same caption as HOD 💀 Sent from my iPohne

Nico

I feel so bad for Sydney man, poor girl has so much on her plate and she’s not being respected at The Bear. I don’t wanna lose her interactions with the rest of the crew but she should move on if she’s not fuckin with Carmy anymore.

Red Death

Crazy how this better than both The Boys and HoTD. Also I think this season was supposed twenty episodes but got cut into two separate seasons for some reason. Either way season 3 and 4 were filmed back to back.

Khayta

THE CAPTION 😭

Frederick

I ain’t gonna lie David was low key spitting facts in that conversation with Carmy. Still though FUCK HIM

Yoxxhio

pleaseeee give me whatever crack ur smoking. both the boys and hotd are way better

Caleb

Bradley Cooper is in a movie where he’s a chef so it’s like hinting they’re in the same world

kingBD

Its pretty much a bully telling the victim to get over it when they are adults 🤣🤣🤣 of course the bully would barely remember anything while the victim is traumatized. Either he turns his restaurant into a great ass one for the “glow up” or he goes to therapy. Lowkey he did the therapy season 1 so guess only one route will heal him?

Michael Pamon

Aye am I tripping??? Was the black dude at the funeral Columbus Short????

Hasnain Khan

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Metweet .c

You guys should check out boiling point after this

slavicandsapphic

this is unrelated to the bear but has the trio ever seen chernobyl/put it on a poll? i feel they would love it tbh also if i had a nickel for every set up season released by two major series, id have two nickels which isnt a lot but its weird that it happened twice 💀

C. J. Ramirez

This season was so slow and pointless🤣😭

Jamaal Ellison

Man I don't give a fuck what this show calls him that is Jeff Winger and he hasn't changed at all. He's still creating mortal enemies without a care in the world. 😂

Bryan .Manica

Roshi yes they are big named chefs I don’t know them all but I know a few. In real life they are big for their craft in the culinary world

Donovan Doyle

May be kapping here but i could have sworn they did a while back but my brain could be mush mixing reactions with shit i saw on my own time

JohnnySmoke

This show was really good, I can see why women keep choosing it 👍

Klaven

I hope Richie gets with chef jess, I don't want my boy to be alone no more.

rajave

A lot of chef cameos in this episode. That was Thomas Keller (French Laundry) at the beginning with Carmy prepping the chicken. Grant Achatz (Alinea) leaving the conversation with Will Poulter. Then a bunch of chefs in the Ever dining room (Genie Kwon (Kasama), Christina Tosi (Milk Bar), Wylie Dufresne (wd50), and others). I think the Bradley Cooper still image was a callback to the tv adaptation of Kitchen Confidential which ran for like a season, where he played celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain.

Mario Huizar

My issue with this season of The Bear vs HOTD is that there was no set up to anything really. Season 1 there was a build up to something, season 2 had a build up to something, half this season was flashbacks and the amount of screen time the Faks got was annoying and testament to how much of a filler season this was. Nothing that happened this season is leading to anything, the review “already happened” where I would’ve preferred they knew critiques were coming so they worked on perfecting everything, instead we got a Tina episode, pregnancy episode, episode 1 of Carmys flashback, this final episode was filler, etc.. this was a filler season more then a set up season. Where as HOTD we had the heir assassination, the battle and fall of mayles and the queen that never was, greens building their army, blacks building their army, killing innocents to find riders, daemon finally bending the knee to Rhynera, Alicent willing to sacrifice her son to end the war, marching of all armies, and we know the battle of the gulley is about to go down. We don’t know ANYTHING about the bears next season, we just know they got a review and we know damn well they’re not closing shop lol

Mario Huizar

I just wrote a long half assed comment on why hotd was better. At least hotd was a real set up season where the bear was a filler season and it was not good. Granted the production is amazing but story did nothing

britt

Real chefs at the dinner table we kept seeing: Grant Achtaz- Will Poulter was quizzing him Christina Tosi- red hair talks about bad boss Malcolm Livingston- ganache guy Kevin Boehm- talks to carmy before the dinner starts Will Guidara- man talkin about life experiences Anna Posey- blonde hair Rosio Sanchez- dark curly hair Genie Kwon- Asian lady Thomas Keller- wish bone guy

Edwin Melendez

Thomas Keller = Amazing Chef

Brendan Arntz

Yeah. Well, TK is an amazing chef and I like that they featured him as the nice chef but David is partially based on a young TK so its kinda funny to see him as both extremes of top tier chef behaviors

VibeWolf

The only thing yall missed is how Carmy's toxic shit was something he started giving Syd. He was kinda her David. Just unknowingly so

slavicandsapphic

if they havent i so hope they consider it at some point bc i need lupa’s “YEAAAAAAHHHHH?” at Dyatlov

Akila Yaw

I’m gonna say, this show in general is top tear, A+, I just like our core cast and I wanna see more of them, i don’t really care about CLAIR but I’m okay with it,

Akila Yaw

Overall I think the drama aspect just wasn’t there this season, which I understand cuz this was definitely more of a backstory kind of thing but definitely felt a little “boring” to me. But this show’s version of boring is still top tier, still amazing writing and directing! Least fav season but there’s not a lot to hate.

PJ Winnie

yeah they are real chefs, christina is super famous, up there with gordan fr

Ephraim

Only problem with this season was that nothing actually happened. The other seasons had a developing story and this season had multiple entire episodes dedicated to flashbacks and events taking place in a single room. Half the season felt like an experiment.

nickhaze

I think this season was more about individual character development more than story development, and set up for the next.

sotonye ogan

"Setup season" should be the new word for mid 😂 but its crazy to use for a 3rd season of a show tho lol but hey it is what it is time to move forward.

sotonye ogan

if my biggest highlight, my personal first thought of this season is John Cena cameo as a Fak yeah then some gears are definetly clugged up like crazy whether is in my brain or in the show who knows lol.

sotonye ogan

all three live action seasons underpeformed tbf all for different reasons

Kevinsog24

Handdss.. Fuckin handsss

M

Nolan, when he needs a good Score for his Movie: Hans… i need fuckin Hans…

Carlos

Chef David is a top tier anime villain

Khayta

Richie and the girl from Ever are 100% going to be a thing or hinted at more

Khayta

I totally agree with Roshi that it’s a setup szn but I don’t agree that it’s “another setup season”. I don’t feel like the first two szns were, bc szn 2 had an accurate payoff.

Khayta

Plots/topics that I believe are still unresolved: - Claire and Carmy resolving their relationship - Cicero's money (paying him back and him being able to pay) - Donna and Carmy talking finally - Michael's death (bc they haven't closed this out since ep 1) - Sydney deciding between The Bear and the new restaurant - Richie and his kid sitch - The review - Getting a star for The Bear - characters like Marcus, Ibra, etc haven't gotten their own story I love the show so much! Just wanted to point this out :)

Khayta

It's the way that l've talked to AT LEAST 15 different people from entirely different film/tv likings and everyone has said that it's the weakest season. However- what I really like is that people are saying it's the weakest season of the series but not one person has said it's bad. It's good tv- just not up to par with the previous seasons, which speaks volumes about how good the show is. Season 4 will def determine the success of this show moving forward. Love it tho!

Vivan

Damn i missed their stream The man from nowhere 😭😭. I was in school

Samke Dladla

I just wish we got a resolution to the Sydney thing. And I hope she doesn't chicken out next season.

Venus

i was fin ask where is it, cuz i went on twitch and didnt see it anywhere

jjlolll

yall should watch the menu fr

James

I do wonder if this season was effected by the writers strike like House of the Dragon

Samke Dladla

"Inconsistent" - Because Carmy keeps changing the damn menu!

Samke Dladla

I think they just got carried away with the artistry of the season and they unintentionally let the story drag.

PJ Rivera

They had a serious technical issue so they probably have to edit it a little bit

PJ Rivera

All set-up seasons are mid thats kinda the point they establish things to be paid off later. A sacrificial season so that the next season would be peak

Engel Paramo

Personally, I believe Carmy's issues began before he met that asshole chef. His mom is emotionally volatile. We see Cicero voice this season that he feels like he should have been there for them.

hyakimaru dono

Thank uu because people are missing the point.. this season was more about character development

Dune

I personally really liked this season. This show does personal and intimate conversations and I just love hearing them. Similar to how I could watch Isaac from Castlevania just to talk to anyone for 10mins

212

I can’t believe people actually enjoyed this season. None of the plot moved and just added more questions just because critics thought this show deserved to be in the comedy genre instead of the drama genre so they tried to make this “artsy”

User100

This! So I won't even be mad if she decides to leave The Bear

User100

Is Joel McHale a chef irl? I thought he was just an actor

britt

my bad he's not a irl chef. in the article i used since there were too many chefs i recongnized, they listed him.

Fizzy

Crazy how all the big three tv shows the boys, HOTD and the bear both suffered from the set up season curse lol.

Jonathan

Sheeras cooking as usual, richey is definetly feeling ole girl

Nancy Raha

I loved this seasonand still loves the show, it reminds me of those old one where you had multiple season and some not a lot happend but you got closer to the character and more layers were added and as a consequences the later season and the show in general had this thing, i loved how the portrayed the simple things in life visually and through the acting it was so refreshing I forgot that they were actors most of the time, I understand the complaint bc of unsresolved plot line, but let them cook

SageMode 1205

Bravely Cooper has a movie called Burnt where he's a 3 star chef. So guess they made him real in the universe of the Bear. Pretty dope

SageMode 1205

All those chefs at the table are really. Especially one of the dude. He ran Madison Square Park front of house while it was the best result in the world.

Aman

Carmy surname is Berzatto so he didn’t forget his name?

Anna Anthony

Don't get me wrong, Sid had anxiety before The Beef, but bro Carmy actively not respecting her as a partner and also passing along his panic attacks and trauma is... I like this show a lot

Gabriel Mehl

He didn't call him Berzatto tho, he purposely called him "Bergazzo" to be "funny" but I could se how you still heard Berzatto

Miki

Chef tosi! Is real saw her on a documentary on Netflix and Co host of master chef with Gordon Ramsey

Brian Yerkes

Yall gotta watch burn with Bradley cooper so you can get the reference this episode. Great movie !!

Kal'el

Everybody for the most part that you saw in this episode was a real chef and etc. Thomas Keller being one of the giants in the food industry. Through out the season there have been real chefs sprinkled into it.

JotaroDrake

Y’all should check out Ted Lasso one day and succession 👀

JotaroDrake

Lawyer from Spiderman 2 got Carmy in shambles

JotaroDrake

I liked this season a lot. Character growth matters and is fun to see

Zion Noland

I agree I really enjoyed the character building it reminds me of Shameless a little bit.

Zion Noland

Chef Jess been feeling Richie since she was introduced, I really hope they get together

Asher Ealey

I think Syd should talk to Tina about the offer first I think she would give her the best unbiased advice because of how much she has done for her

AutumnOnFire

Daniel is LUCKY it was Carmy he was talking down to. If it were anyone else from Chicago, he would've gotten his L1-4 front-dropkicked until his dick bent 90 degrees.

DTGstl314

Almost everybody in this episode who we haven't seen before was a real life chef or someone well known in the culinary world. The guy you're thinking of is Malcolm Livingston II (they all used their real names on the show, because they were playing themselves). Anyway, Malcolm Livingston II is a highly-acclaimed pastry chef who did in in fact appear on the cover of a magazine called Dessert Professional... he also worked as a culinary consultant on the show and helped Lionel Boyce (Marcus) with his dessert making skills. His Insta is pretty cool... https://www.instagram.com/mliving2/

DTGstl314

It's a still from the 2015 movie Burnt, where Cooper played a highly acclaimed chef who crashed and burned his career to the ground and had to restart from the bottom in his pursuit to win three Michelin stars.

DTGstl314

He's the only chef in America to own and operate TWO Michelin three star restaurants - The French Laundry in Napa and Per Se in New York City. There are only 13 restaurants in the entire country with three Michelin stars, and he owns two of them, along with another restaurant in Miami called The Surf Club, which has one Michelin star.

DTGstl314

I don't think Carm actually read the review, I think that was just his head racing with thoughts of what it might say and when he saw that he had also missed a bunch of calls from Uncle Jimmy and Computer, he assumed the absolute worst because it's who he is - he's always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

DTGstl314

I don't know if anybody's caught onto this, but Adam Shapiro, the chef trying to recruit Sydney for his new restaurant is played by an actor named... Adam Shapiro. The real Adam Shapiro is primarily an actor (meaning not a chef), so I'm not sure why they chose to name his character after himself.

Adrian Neal

Bruh if you popped open Carmy’s head while he was staring at homeboy all you would’ve heard was ‘Murder on My Mind’

Adrian Neal

Seasoning the punch is crazy Lupa 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Himothy

This season was just a lot of buildup so I’m not mad at anyone thinking it was sub par

Mack

I enjoyed this Season especially the last 2 episodes. Is it at the level of the first 2, no. But I think it did enough to keep my interest and we learned a lot about the characters. Even more than we did before. I think next season is going to have more forward movement that people said this season should have had.

Mack

This season did a great job at showing different leadership styles and how they can have different effect on people. Carmy had all these wonderful, patient, instructive chef’s throughout his career like chef Terry (who we see throughout this entire show, how nurturing she was) yet its chef David he cant let go of cuz of how traumatic that experience was. Also, on the other hand, Chef David thinks hes the reason for Carmy’s success and doesn’t even see the other chefs Carmy worked with before as equals. Told them he was ok before he got to him. Even dissed the decor of chef Terry’s restaurant

Asellian

i loved this season and i love yaboyroshi!

jojoey

Every character is so deep I can’t see how ppl don’t love this season 😭
