wild theory i have here but i get the vibe that phase 2 of sages plan is that she is going to join the boys and play a new game of chess vs vaught. because she said that she was trying to obtain the ultimate power for homelander which is total control. i feel like the only way this could be fun for her is to be a turncoat and join the boys to help end homelander. i get the vibe that she did this whole thing joining the seven was to play real life chess. the only way she has fun next season is to tear her creation down aka homelander from his peak.

I swear people keep forgetting Neuman's character and how she's literally one of the actual GOOD people in this show. Her motivations have honestly been mostly about her family, specifically her daughter. Yes, she's done some very fucked up things and some hardcore backstabbing, but it's like you people don't realize she's playing THE GAME. She's not a normal person and I don't mean her being a supe, she's in the political world trying to do good things and she can't make it to the top to bring good policies to America unless she does the dirty play like all the other politicians do. Edgar groomed and raised her to play this unfair game of life, he taught her how to play on ALL SIDES to get where she wants to be to get her policies put in place. Sometimes I wonder if people in these comments even remember Neuman was the one who pushed Annie to use her millions of followers which lead to her forming the Starlighters to combat against Vaught and The Seven. She cares deeply for her husband, she was also being very supportive of Marie and gave her very sound advise about how to make it as a POC in a racist America. But for some reason people hate her and say she's an awful person and don't feel bad that she got brutally murdered and isn't to be trusted. She was close, so close to making it to her goal but Sage and Homelander beat her down. She had no choice but to run to The Boys. She lost all her progress the second Homelander outted her, causing her to lose her edge in the game. Honestly she lost the second Homelander ran to Sage because Sage had her eye on Neuman from the very start. Neuman was a threat to the villain's agenda, but people are happy she's .. dead? Because she .. killed people by exploding their heads? TLDR; Neuman was a good character and people who are glad she's dead completely forgot what she was aiming to do the whole time and forgot that throughout this entire show full of fucked up people, that she was a good person trying to do right by getting her hands dirty in a racist America.

I doubt it. Neuman was well on her way of being a member of the boys by this exchange and look what Butcher did to her. Sage stands no chance, Butcher cannot be reasoned with and she'd know that.
