Tina lost her old job on November 9, 2018 - you can see the date on the clock behind the supervisor laying off Tina and her coworkers. The present day of the show is sometime in July 2023. The first episode took place in June 2022 - four months after Mikey's suicide, which happened in February 2022. The pandemic gets referenced occasionally on the show, but I don't think any of the flashbacks we've seen so far happened in the middle of the pandemic (2020-2021), besides the first episode of this season, which spans over about five years.
