Really enjoying what they're doing with this arc. In the manga they cover Uzui, Muichiro and Mitsuri's trainings in a literal montage that takes up like two panels, so they can get to the Hashira's we haven't spent time with yet. I really appreciate getting some more time with the ones we do know, feels like a bit of a payoff to the previous arcs with them.

Because they can handle regular demons, they're being pushed to their limits because they know an army of demons is coming with Muzan and the Uppers as Generals. The Hashira need them to hold of the regs so they can deal with the Uppers.

To be fair. These guys aren’t trash. They are training against the top of the top of demon slayers who are on a different planet. That’s like an average person trying to do Lebron James training regime. If we are being realistic the rest of the demon slayers are being trained so that they can handle the regular demons on their own. So tanjiro group and the Hashira can deal with the upper moons and Muzan without having to worry about any of the fodder demons. Cause the demons do have the numbers advantage even though most of them are weak.

For all those who are confused about this "filler" season, the manga was sped up for the creator's personal reasons, meaning a lot of things were overlooked or not explored at all. This arc does not contain any relationship between the various pillars or especially with the recruits, ufotable is adding canonical "fillers" with the story. All of this content is creator-viewed content so it's extras that were supposed to be in the manga but unfortunately we didn't get it. We have ufotable to thank for these essential extras for us readers of the manga.

A lot of the things in these episodes are not in the manga this is because the creator of ds had some personal issues going on and had to rush the end of the manga but even so it’s still very much a good watch and I’m glad they are adding more of what we could not see in the manga and I can’t wait for you guys to see Gyomie “crying one” in action he’s truly a beast like it’s actually insane how hard of a character he is

Yeah, Muzan’s got tons of fodder to throw at the slayers, and he is definitely not above human wave tactics to wear down the Hashira before moving in for the kill. The bulk of the slayers will have to act like a shield so that the Hashira can spearhead attacks against the Moons.

Too be fair in the Hashira meeting in season one they talked about how most of the demon slayers don’t have the same motivation like they use to cause they don’t possess the same distain and hatred like the Hashira. Most, if not all, of the Hashira have experienced trauma due to a demon. Also this training is regular high basketball players going through the best nba players training regimes.
