Bongseok has both of his parents abilities.

J Man

29:30 when he was asking about the accent, chicken dad was trying to figure out why he have a hood accent since chicken dad grew up in the hood. The cellphone guy was faking it to sound tough and like a g

Sulam0n

Yeah mom and son have super senses, he already showed super vision, hearing and smell (in ep 1 when he smelled ingredients), and she already showed both hearing and vision. But imagine you can fly and also see very far, dude is too op.

Nae

Korean law protects kids no matter what. So no side of parents would be able to press charges that stick.

A

you guys missed it but yes this ep confirms his mom has a power also Bong-seok used his moms abilities before so im pretty sure he has both of his parents abilities

2024-05-30 20:10:38 Korea has regional dialects (satoori), so Koreans generally know off rip the rough area someone else is from. Cellphone shop guy was fronting with an accent that is (or is close to) Juwon’s natural one and he was like…you’re not built like that bro. 😭 To the question Sheera brought up a few episodes ago now that they showed it — the retired agents are codenamed after towns/cities. Jincheon, Bongpyeong, Naju, and Guryeongpo (Juwon) are all locations. Juwon mentions he’s from there when he’s intimidating cellphone guy. I literally cannot say anything about Hyewon’s whole situation without spoiling, so imma just enjoy your theories lmao.

bully girl = junkie girl from The Worst of Evil

Thev2g

Bruh Roshi reaction during bullying scenes is me whenever I watch them too.

Alyssa~

It's not just the dads- the kids inherent from whichever parent has the ability. From what you guys seen so far huisoo takes after her dad in terms of never getting hurt. However in bongseoks case, ~both~ his mom (super senses: vision, hearing, taste, and smell) and dad (float) has abilities, so he takes after both.

Anyone familiar with South Korean schools? Why are the students always left alone in these school scenes, is it apart of how the class goes....the teacher teaches for a little bit and then leaves for rest of the day???

nicci

Sheera has a good point about the rich kid though... could be explained by maybe saying that the girl was an illegitimate or unwanted kid coz why is she in a mining town backwoods school?...hey if it draws attention pay at least a little.

Keziah Boamah

“Is this the bully bitch?” SCREAMING😭🤣

Atlas Creation

main character was shown to have superhuman hearing in the first episode. He could tell his mom was cooking a certain dish

Justin Neason

Huisoo's dad is my favorite character by far in this show, and there are a lot of cool characters

Mu Nanyo

Hes the homeroom teacher, they do stuff like attendance, any notices or information that needs to be handled as well as being a contact between the students and the school. They handle the class for homeroom and self directed learning sessions before regular subject teachers come in. In dramas we mostly only see the homeroom periods because its easier to drive a story when the kids dont have to shut up and learn

Louis Kalman

I always assumed they step out for a bit for the students to self-study or because they have to take a shit or whatever. You see a lot of scenes where teachers aren't in the classroom but they're pretty much always like five minute continuous segments. I've never seen it implied that they've just been sitting around alone for hours on end. It does obviously stretch belief though that there's this 1v6 brawl going on for several minutes with students in every window watching and somehow no adults are around.

Hasnain Khan

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Elle E.

@Mu Nanyo OH true that makes sense to have scenes with homeroom teacher since they're not learning or occupied.

Elle E.

@Louis Kalman I'm not too shocked by them being left alone as high school students but just like where all the teachers, staff be when there's a bunch of noise of them fighting or yelling. But you right it's just a K-Drama Lol.

Vayne

Now imagine 2 MCs kids having ability to float but never getting hurt LOL op as fuck

Vayne

Only thing im worried about this girl coming back is her haircut looked the exact same as Huisoo's so just hope it isnt an imposter syndrome thing

Bria A.

I wish I could answer you but I will remember you and answer at the end of the show lol. It’s a really insignificant detail to think about that doesn’t get a direct answer but the reveal about her even explains away that much.

Solemnity

Out of genuine curiosity, why do you watch reactors if you're gonna throw information at them that will be revealed later on in the show?

Kiari

They know his mom doesn’t have flying abilities. They seen his mom use powers already. They assumed they got it from his dad.

Bria A.

Do you mean Hyewon or the bully girl? If you mean the bully in the office, that was meant to be a flashback to very shortly after Huisoo got kicked out, not present day. That’s why Huisoo got admitted into the school to begin with when no one else would take her.

Kiari

Plus, I was clarifying why the camera zoomed in like that. I was just saying it’s one of his mom’s abilities.

min

Teachers stay at teachers' office and only come in for their classes. They visit different classrooms for their classes, and students always stay in their homeroom class. So, there is no teacher in the class during breaks between classes and lunch breaks. Teachers office is usually on different floor than classrooms, and there is no security in the building.

Elle E.

@min good point, no school i went to or been to in USA had cubical like teachers offices, their office was usually just in a corner in their classroom

Quzga

Not Korean but in my country the teacher would often begin the lesson, tell us what we were to do for the first 10 min or so then leave and go elsewhere maybe teach another class they had. Then only come back if it was noisy or at the end unless it was a test/exam. (Our classes were never more than 12 students) But oftentimes we would go like 40 min or so without any teacher, and some classes were really noisy and messy but some were calm. Definitely plenty of bullying here tho, I got it quite heavily for a few years... Teachers never gave a fuck and just saw you being bullied as you causing problems. I imagine Korea is somewhat similar like this, but our teachers never cared to collect our phones although I haven't been to school since 2015 lol

gigi

it was already revealed and roshi and sheera noticed it earlier on, op is just clarifying!!

J Man

Two worst enemies in high school KDramas: 1. Bullies 2. The useless adults that are never there and never help

J Man

Also, Huisoo's actress probably wishes she had her regeneration powers in Death's Game where Baek Hee Sung ran her over with a car and called her twisted neck a marionette.

Abigail Hang

I think when Chief Jo mentioned that most of the graduates didn't have the potential, I think he was talking about how most of the kids coming through didn't show signs of powers, not that the kids were so good at hiding their powers that the school didn't notice.

David

Not only did Huisoo decide to take on the bullies, she went into a 1 vs 17 fight not knowing she had regenerative powers (or so it seemed to me). That takes some serious guts.

Heyymeg

That school is so trash for how they mishandled that situation.

Emmanuel

Maybe not the right place to ask but, Slime today?

Mad4Life

I'm sorry but that rich girl is an idiot. If I'm from a rich family I'm literally just going to pay someone to make those girls lives a living hell. Like those bullies are really going to have a bad time inside and outside of school as long as you pay the right people.

PetersThimble

Imma need these parents to survive bc I like the two main protagonists parents so much and imma cry if either one eats it 😭

Mad4Life

There's literally no way she's gone through most of her life from a little girl to a high schooler and not once been in a situation where she should've been injured.

JSAV

"Monster" like father like daughter.... :D

David

Depends on the childhood, and how protective dear old dad was. Healing fast from minor injuries would be easy to overlook, especially when you're young and tend to easily bounce back from injuries anyway. Despite playing football my entire childhood, I never broke any bones, needed stitches, or had any lingering injuries (until high school). It can happen. The car accident was likely the worst thing she went through, and she was very young at that time. I'm sure she had some idea what she could withstand, but doubt she was expecting to be able to take a stone to the head and have her neck slashed open and be perfectly fine.

roshi_wig

Check previous post, they’re returning next week with 2x drops most likely to make it up.

LUC_Rambler

The 8 Show on netflix is heat.

Jay

I’m waiting till they see what a monster he really is…..Juwon really IS that nigga ….. my fav character through out

Tsuki

watch re:monster it’s fire. Fs heavily inspired by slime

PolarToni

second this. It's absolutely insane, funny and will be sickest thing they watch

Frank

Her being able to not feel pain and recover so quickly has to play a HUGE role in her physical abilities. It's like constantly being able to workout and recover at the same time to increase strength.

Ghost_Troupe

That such a weird power to use if you think about it. If her body recovers quickly, how would she age? Wouldn't her body naturally fix her damaged cell and tissue over time pretty much keeping her young/semi-immortal?

Drake Rage

14:06 Alright... Pardon my extreme comment.. and don't do any of this, its just me venting (Bullies like these boil my blood): Solution for Psycho Bitch: Take advantage of Lunch Rush, hide in the crowd and shove her down the stairs (Might take a few tries but she is bound to fall the right way one time and break a few bones), out of commission for 2-3 months. Solution for her piece of shit boyfriend: Can't shove him down the stairs cause he will prolly only sprain his ankle at most... So... Go to a high-enough floor, invite to an empty classroom, ask him to look out an open window telling him he will see something interesting.... Run towards him, a well-placed shove out the window. Out of commission for... well RIP.

Jalani Abdul-Aziz

It’s not funny but these shows make it seem like going to school in Korea is worse than fighting the Avengers 😭

Nate

Remember when naju died she told the ups dude that he was second string implying that his healing ability is not up to par as another she has seen. Then she says gyongpo will kill him. I’m thinking that huisoo dad is the guy she was referencing. His healing ability is probably so OP he can instantly heal

Nate

They feel pain. Except they heal quick. They feel every injury In the moment tho

Ghost_Troupe

I just can't get used to how the protagonist acts, dude is supposed to be a senior in high school but acts like he's a 5th grader.

Blur

I think he's just an innocent kid. Didn't get that wakeup call yet; but we all know what has to happen for him to get there.

Venus

what about him is like a 5th grader? is it because he is not a dirty delinquent who smokes and sexualizes girls his age? Also, he acts just like his father who is a grown man

Venus

@aMad4lfie the only time she had a suspicion is during the car accident. she was surprised she survived. Not every child is walking around getting injured lol. Ive never been injured

Venus

the first epsiode confirmed that and so did the second. idk how they missed it lol

2024-05-30 20:10:38 in asian standards of high school, there can still be kids his age who can be really sweet and innocent. also, imo, he's just a really really nice guy who's only had his single mom for guidance, thus he isn't as masculine as the usual types of male leads. plus, there are some moments when he really shows his wisdom such as when he advices huisoo to be forthcoming to her dad with her worries bc parents only ever want to be able to support their kids.

@Karek this is a dumb comment. all the traits you list that he has is just being a sweet and innocent person and you're saying that's not masculine. Way to promote that violence, aggressiveness, and hateful behavior are masculine traits. This has nothing to do with being Asian either and I say this as a blasian. What in the world??????

Where the FUCK ARE THE TEAHCERS IN KOREA

Kpop Tart

Maybe the power distinguishes between natural and unnatural damage. Ageing is a natural process whereas getting cut is not

Yolo Samurai

she brought a whole new meaning to "Its not a 20v1 its a 1v20"! 😂

Martin Mendez

When it was 17 vs 1 and the one that got in trouble was the "1". I wasn't surprised. I have watched enough dramas to know the BS they pull in Korea. Lol.

Soso

16:18 sheera thought that boy was gonna get smacked by that train lmaooooo

WorldWideLove2000

Rewatching your earlier reactions to Moving and I just now realized that the actor who plays Lee Gang-hoon was also in Doctor John. I can't believe I didn't notice that before, but I knew I recognized him from somewhere. 😅

Aaron williams

The fact that she fought them girls not knowing that she could regenerate like she deserves all the respect

Sekraan

I went to high school with a bunch of S. Koreans (outside of Korea). Their stories of school in Korea were rough. Mainly the teachers being allowed to use corporeal punishment (i.e., physically hitting them). And these were wealthy privileged kids too. I'd bet it's worse for the poorer ones even.
