Lupa’s probably right. Realistically, all the dude would have to do is fend off enough people for him to gain some distance and run away. Then take his armor off and just hide somewhere. Considering all the commotion, that really isn’t impossible.

I love the use of Buntaro's character to showcase how Men hardened by War, back then, could be Both terrible and callous men AND fierce warriors that die with honor. Anyone with a drill sergeant type of Dad may understand what this is like. Cotton Hill type beat lol 😂

ya know, we saw this a little in Black Lagoon, where the Translator is ACTUALLY the one keeping the peace lol. You have one party talking RECKLESS, and if the translator didn't paraphrase nicely, people would die on the spot. W friar for that alone.

Nah I'm with Lupa on this one lol. If they were gonna make that dude look like such an a-hole the whole time but let him go out with honor in the end, Idt they would've had his death happen offscreen. I think he'll be back lol. Probably against the main crew though.

I'm not sure about the lupa style egg theory but I have seen enough anime to know when a character goes off screen like that he most likely isn't dead. Speaking of anime John D. Blackthorne must be from one piece or something he needs to be inducted into the absolutely terrible anime fathers hall of fame right up there with ging and them 🤣.
