The Y axis on the Maho mill has been in bad shape and fixing the ballnut/screw has been long overdue.

I took a swing at rebuilding it and missed.  But what doesn't kill us makes us stronger right?

Thanks for the critical eye Tony. I don't have an immediate use for a ball screw device. But I do appreciate your effort to rebuild the worn nut. I'm currently rebuilding the apron on a 1941 Monarch 10EE, and there are lots of worn out bearings that are no longer in production. I substituted a $2.50 bearing for a $25 one that was recommended on a forum dedicated to that machine. It may fail early, but what fun is it to blindly fire up the parts cannon?
