Something I've wanted to try for some time, but didn't have a probe (that didn't rely on metal conductivity) to do it.  Niche trick, but might come in handy later!

Loved the idea at the end. One could do all sorts of cool stuff with that!

The map includes some error from the probe contacting a sloped surface off-center. You need to take the probe radius into account when computing the reverse map. I'm sure it's a small enough error that it won't matter when gluing wood, but it might make a difference in high accuracy situations.
