Major Patreon Changes & New Serial Incoming (Patreon)

Hey everybody, James here! Some of you may or may not have noticed the role shifts recently. I'll do my best to explain. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll make sure to answer to the best of my ability. Without further ado:

After a lot of discussion and thought on the matter, it was decided that in order to better prepare for the future, it would be in everybody’s best interest to standardize the Patron Tiers and cull a lot of extra tiers that just weren’t doing anything.

I’ve done my best to keep some semblance of the old still, but for the most part we’ve got a new scheme set up.

For the vast majority of readers, this is excellent news. Every single tier now has access to more content for less. Our “content tiers” are now collapsed down to the following:

• Copper Adventurer (Replaces old Iron Marked content)
• Silver Realmwalker (Replaces old Silver Marked content)
• Gold Ascender (Replaces old Prism Marked content)

Obviously, the largest improvement for you guys is the change from Prism Marked to Gold Ascender, as Prism had the highest amount of content. But across the board everything is more accessible and perhaps most importantly, easier for me to update and keep updated.

Managing 5 or more content tiers was a bit of a nightmare.

Bronze Marked is being deprecated completely since we're remodeling the Patreon for exclusive patron-only content. If you're on Bronze Marked for news, feel free to sign up to our mailing list to receive the same news for free!

Now beyond these core tiers are the Super Best Friend tiers for those of you who want to show your support and want to cozy up to Sohmer and myself a little.

The following tiers gain access to the Lore Fiends channel to ask questions to the authors:

• Mythril Incarnate
• Diamond Empyrean
• Prism Marked
• Lorewarden

The Lore Fiends channel is only available for those tiers, but aside from the ability to ask and receive answers when Sohmer and I are able, they don’t give anything besides a nice title with a different color, and of course the warm fuzzy feeling of helping us out (Komachi approves). Lorewarden still gives the stuff from before, but that’s a limited tier so I’m not necessarily counting that!

For those of you who are now in one of the above tiers, but only want the highest tier of content, you’ll want to make sure you pay attention around renewal and drop to your preferred content tier.

Of course, if you stayed, we’d be super happy! In fact, we’d greatly appreciate it. But inflation still sucks, gas is still expensive, and in general we’re just trying to do our part to ease the burden as much as we can control, while offering more content for you to enjoy.

What does this all mean?

It means we’re gearing up to drop a brand spanking new serial titled Voidknight Ascension!

So the new post schedule looks like:

Monday - Friday: Daily Voidknight chapter releases

Weekend: Beastborne Chronicles chapter release

Whenever the 5th book of Beastborne is finished, I’ll likely take a break and switch to another book. I don’t want to over-commit or over-promise anything, but I’ll likely flex in and out different books that are being written at that time.

So when the third Pyresouls comes up, that’ll swap in place where Beastborne is, and so on. Voidknight Ascension, however, is likely going to stay in place for at least a year. It really depends on how well it does. The better it does, the more we’ll work to keep it going in the original serialized fashion.

TL;DR- Patron content tiers are squished from 5 to 3, almost all are cheaper and/or provide more content for the price. New serial dropping soon.
