It's been so long since I've gone to a movie theater that I forgot how shitty they are.

I just got back from a failed attempt to see The Sparks Brothers at the Houston Area's newest googleplex, only to find that the show had been bumped to 11pm, no doubt to accommodate another screening of F9.

Keep in mind, during the pandemic, Houston's only arthouse cinema, the River Oaks Theatre, closed its doors for good. The fourth largest city in the United States does not have a single dedicated arthouse screen.

I suppose I'll just stay hunkered down and keep downloading, streaming, and file-sharing. As Annie Proulx wrote, "When you live a long way out you make your own fun."
