Hello Beastlings,

Here is my offering for today.

I was inspired by Robert Frost and then decided to put a loose spin on a Petrarchan sonnet to start introducing structure into my writing.

When writing songs, the structure is important - you have to cooperate with your intended verse/chorus/bridge/etc arrangements when composing your lyrics. I have lots of Arch Enemy songs (Time is Black, for example) where I had to painfully cut away chunks of lyrics because I didn’t keep myself structured from the beginning. My advice - what you DON’T say is as important as what you DO say. But - if you feel like unleashing page after page - go for it.

Let’s see what you’ve got today, show us your art & poems!

Thank you all for being such an important part of our Together/Alone journey! 💙
