Happy Friday Patrons!

AltServer 1.7rc is now available for all Mac users - no Mail Plug-in required! Because macOS Sonoma removed support for Mail Plug-ins, this update eliminates that requirement for all macOS users 🎉

AltStore 2.0b4 is also now available with some minor tweaks ahead of a public release. Both the AltStore and AltServer updates are required for use with iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma, so we recommend updating right away to stay compatible.

We'll be back soon with more fun AltStore 2.0 updates, so stay tuned!

- Riley + Shane

When I updated AltStore on my phone, Delta disappeared from my Apps tab, so now I can't refresh it.

last question I got 2 people that don't want to move to IOS 17 will this still work for them. I am on iOS 17 and Mac OS Sonoma would this still refresh later on

altstore seemed to install WAY faster now that the mail plugin is gone!

I have some issues using/installing JIT, I have already installed Xcode, brew, pymobiledevice3. but it seems like Altserver can't see that pymobiledevice3 is installed. "AltServer requires additional dependencies to enable JIT on iOS 17. 'pymobiledevice3' is not installed." also I use Sonoma and IOS 17

I've followed the instructions to the letter and I still receive the error "The URL to download the Developer disk image could not be determined." Macbook Air (2017) MacOS Monterey iPhone 13 Mini, iOS17 Running the AltServer RC

Have you come across any solutions for this? I am excited to use Dolphin if it works! Thank you!

Having a similar issue on Windows 11 (With the same error). Running Win 11 22H2 (Build 22621.2215) and have the iOS 17 RC installed. :)

Getting 2 errors: NSURLErrorDomain error -1011 and Your device could not be registered with your development team. You currently don't have access to this membership resource. To resolve this issue, agree to the latest Program License Agreement in your developer account. (4550)

The second error is worded very well because it tells you how to fix the error and you even typed out how to fix it. Hope this helps!

Mike Morin

Any info on how to fix the first error?

I turned on two-step verification. Is it because of this that I can’t install it? It prompts me that my password is wrong.

I'm on Sonoma/iPadOS 17 with the appropriate betas and all the dependencies installed but I'm running into a JIT could not be enabled error. "The process 'altjit' failed with code 1. Could not connect to device . The process 'python3' timed out." Any ideas for what to try from here?

rileytestut

There is currently not a fix available for using Windows with iOS 17 devices. We'll let you know once we have something available.

rileytestut

You should receive the code to your device and would need to enter it into your Mac/PC. If you aren't getting a two-factor code, make sure to check your AppleID settings & connected devices

rileytestut

If you receive a time-out error, try reconnecting your device and enabling from AltServer. Make sure your device is connected to your computer the entire time until JIT has successfully enabled

is 1.7 > 1.7 rc from this post as I got an update

rileytestut

There is no real difference other than that the 1.7rc will install the beta version of AltStore on your device.

I'm running AltServer 1.7 on macOS Monterey and AltStore 1.7 on iOS 17. I stupidly updated my iPhone 11 Pro before updating AltStore, and now I can't refresh my apps. I'm trying to install the AltStore Beta (my Patreon is linked), but I can't without connecting to AltServer. Which I can't do without updating AltStore. What can I do, here? Is there a way to install the beta without a wifi link to AltServer?

Anonymous

Thanks for the reply and help. I got it to work, by following the troubleshooting instructions.

The release notes didn’t mention it but Catalina is no longer supported. I’ve got a 2012 Mac mini as my home server for plex and to keep AltServer always online. Is this intentional or did it happen because you used the new Xcode and it accidentally bumped minimum target?

Mike Morin

Does AltServer work with iPhone 15?

Will there be any updates to enabling JIT on windows soon? Have been unable to since ios17

George Kontus

For those complaining about JIT not working, you must do the following: 1. python3 -m pip install -U pymobiledevice3 2. python3 -m pymobiledevice3 mounter auto-mount 3. sudo python3 -m pymobiledevice3 remote start-tunnel
