The Hatchery: The Big Questions Post (Patreon)

So what is The Hatchery? The Hatchery is an exclusive-to-this patreon event as thanks for meeting the monthly pledge goal . The Hatchery is a 3-month based cycle of hatching eggs and adorable little critters. All art is pixel art. 

This repeats every 3 months. New designs and new critters every 3 months

It's a fun, mystery egg event. 

• Cycle 1 2-3 unique eggs are posted. What’s inside them? You won't know until the next month. Each egg has a little silhouette of the next cycle 
• Cycle 2 They’ve hatched! Cute little monster-y animals (and, rarely, a humanoid) pop out of the eggs. Most will have 1 more month to grow 
• Cycle 3 They’re all grown up! The animals have evolved into adults
• Some eggs will be single cycle (e.g jumps straight to cycle 3, or does not grow passed cycle 2)  

And that’s it! Hatching eggs, seeing what’s inside and what they grow up to be. 

These eggs/the things that come from them would be purchasable, like adoptables. It’s not obligatory, just for fun if you happen to like an egg enough to want to keep them. One egg per person per cycle. 

Every time an egg is purchased I add another egg to keep it fair to everyone. 

(I use the word 'Hatchling' and 'egg' interchangeably, sorry for any confusion) 

How much does a Hatchling cost? 

That varies from Hatchling to Hatchling. Single stage Hatchlings will be considerably cheaper than two stages. All eggs and Hatchlings will have a price marked. 

The goal is to keep these designs unique but also low cost. 

How do I buy a Hatchling? 

Shoot me a DM with the name of the Hatchling you want to buy and it's all yours! Eggs have a 1 week limit to send payment. If you change your mind or payment isn't received the same week you want to buy the egg then it will be placed back for sale. While waiting for payment an egg will be put on hold. All sold eggs will be marked as such. 

Sales for USD through paypal only. 

Eggs are first come first serve. If two people want an egg then the first person to ask will be given priority. 

Once you have bought an egg all you have to do is wait for the next stages~ At the end of the cycle you will get all the HD files of every stage. 

Do I have to buy during the egg stage? 

Nope. These critters can be bought at any stage, including after they're all hatched. 

What sort of things are in the eggs? 

Anything! From critters to little humanoids, can kind of design and cute little thing can pop out. The goal is to share designs and keep them affordable and a little element of surprise too. All designs are unique and made by me. No designs will be repeated or recoloured. 

Every first cycle a preview of the next cycle will be posted alongside the egg. 

Some things like humanoids will be rarer than others so keep an eye out for those silhouettes! 

Hatchlings will match the colours of their eggs and the decorations. All will be named too, as a little extra hint for what's inside. Some may even have alternate colour schemes at the end. 

Remember, this is a monthly cycle. You will need to wait for the next month to see the next stage. No peeking allowed.

What if I change my mind after buying a Hatchling?

Unfortunately, that's too bad. There are no refunds and once a Hatchling is bought it's bought. You can forfeit ownership but that also means it goes back up for sale. Remember, this is a mystery egg event. If you aren't sure you will like what comes out of an egg you can always wait until the next cycle to see what it is. 

What can I do with a Hatchling? 

Anything you want! Once purchased, it is yours to do with whatever you please. You are of course welcome to resell but I'd really rather you love and cherish your Hatchling. You can post them wherever, make them your own character and give them a personality, anything. Name them, draw them, love them. 

I also offer discounts off my regular commission rates if you commission to me draw your Hatchling ;') 

Do I have to pledge to buy a Hatchling? 

Yes. This is limited to patrons only. If you delete your pledge while a cycle is ongoing and have bought a Hatchling, it is still yours to keep. 

When is the Hatchery posted? 

At the start of every month. Eggs will be posted with a name, a price and a mystery silhouette of their second stage.
