Notes for this update: Riel's current day off interludes (#1 and #2), if you haven't started them, get locked starting at Chapter 8, so you'll likely have to use the quickbuild to jump to Chapter 7 in order to play them!

Content warning: Halek's new interlude involves heavy discussion of religion, conflicting religions, faith, and theism; it also takes place in a church, so please keep this in mind if these topics may be triggering for you!

Happy holidays, everyone! I'll keep this update brief since we're still in the midst of holiday festivities over here, but I hope everyone's enjoying the end of your Decembers! I'm quite pleased with my progress on everything this month, especially with how packed my schedule (both work and social) ended up being; I have beefy updates for the game and Some Kind of Virus, we completed and released Riel's tarot card, and I even found a little free time to build the official Shepherds of Haven/game developer website (though it isn't live to the public yet)! 😁 And finished it all in time to take time off for Christmas and New Year's!

This update is fairly straightforward; Halek's interlude goes quite hard on heavy topics, but as he lowers his blasé guard and shows his true thoughts and vulnerabilities to MC, I hope it becomes evident that still waters run quite deep. Meanwhile, Riel continues to keep a little bit of a polite distance (his route is definitely a slow burn, as expected) but simultaneously reveals things about himself and his life that he doesn't really discuss with anybody! Also, as the only Shepherd companion who actually owns real estate outside of the compound, I think it's fun to pay him a visit at home!
