Hi everybody, Chase won the last music poll to determine whose character theme song we should make next! So now I'm opening up this post for you to leave any suggestions you may have for our composer Irene Chan when she starts working on Chase's theme song next!

Character theme songs strive to embody the characters they represent! For example, Blade's character theme song captures his serious personality, military discipline, Ket heritage, and growing independence, all through things like pacing, specific instruments, and rhythms! We got fabulous suggestions for things like Asian-influenced flutes and military-style drums for him last time, which really gave shape to his song! Trouble's theme song, by contrast, embodies his rollicking free spirit and high, emphatic energy with lots of brass and ska/jazz/city pop vibes, as suggested by all of you!

So, do you have any examples, vibes, or sounds that make you think of Chase? I always tend to think of slinky jazz or sexier lounge music or even darker pop for him, but I'm so interested in what other people envision! Pirate and nautical chanties with high-energy fiddles? Fast guitar riffs and rock? Or something else entirely? Please feel free to post links or examples to the music you're thinking of: the more I can give to our composer, the better! You can also discuss in the #patreon channel of our Discord if you want to bounce ideas around with others as well!

I'll be collating all of your ideas and suggestions after about a week or so and sending them off to Irene then! Thank you as always, and I look forward to seeing your ideas! 🐈‍⬛

Ship in a Bottle by fin or The Pirates Medley by Peter Hollens (ofc He’s A Pirate/all of the original PotC soundtrack lolol have to have some of that ~showmanship~) have always given me Chase vibes… with a little The Amazing Devil for that sightly more alt-folk bard-y feel. A little heavier, but our boy has hidden depths yanno?) but I definitely see the fiddle being featured pretty heavily and percussion.
