Alpha Preview Update (October) (Patreon)

Hi everybody, I've got the alpha update for October here! As I mentioned in my last post (be sure to check that in case you didn't see my later edit, too), I didn't get as much as I wanted to done on the build this month, but I'm still happy with my work, and it's definitely necessary setup for all the things to come! Wtf is going on in Wallmire?! And which "familiar" face are we going to meet in the morning?! Read on to find out!

What's New:

• ❗️ 8,000 words of new content for Chapter 7
• Minor typos and bug fixes in previous chapters 

Developer Notes:

Not too much new to say this month on what's been added to the build, except a reminder that this chapter has very spooky, scary, and potentially distressing content, including murder and truly gross swamp creatures. Please keep this in mind and read at your own risk!

And this update is the introduction of the characters that you decided, shaped, and named in the last several weeks: Saranae, Wren, and their children, Cyril and Surya! It's going to be fun to keep exploring the mysteries and culture of Wallmire and where these characters slot into everything... I'm betting most people will have a hard time foreseeing the answers to this Terror, at least right now. :) And all of this mystery and murder make for very suitable subject matter for today--Halloween! I hope you enjoy!

What's Next:

More Chapter 7! Depending on if I proceed with the potential plans I discussed in the last update post, my work on this might stay at this current pace (or go up or down, it really just depends), but I'll know more once the new month starts and I have a clearer picture of how I'm going to proceed.
