AmnesiacRabbit: Do other mage circles still exist? You mention Drummond's point being one of them. Does it mean Ket!MC just blow off one of them? 

Mage Circles do exist other than the Veiled Circle in Capra, but the information I wrote--including that one is in Drummond's Point--is far outdated! At the time of the writing, Drummond's Point was a ruined Torsari in my mind: but moving forward, I separated them into two different places again, so there is no Circle in Drummond's Point (and no Circle for Ket!MC to blow off)! Currently I estimate that Red and the Capra Mages know of at least six other Circles: there are definitely more, but by nature have to remain secret, and if other Mage Circles can catch wind of them, so too can the Inquisitors...

Off the top of my head I know there's the Living Circle in Calta, the Winding Circle in Sion, the Closed Circle in Torsari, and the Shattered Circle in Caprona!

Katie: How does Caine and/or Prihine react upon discovering that MC was executed because they saved them from the Revenant with their magic? Let's assume MC was nice to them. Would they have tried to save MC from death row, knowing the possible consequences?  Also, did Prihine's father actually pay MC post-wedding?? 

Prihine would be DEVASTATED, but quietly so. Her new husband would know she was upset but wouldn't know why. No one would ever really know why, but Prihine would carry the weight of that with her entire life. However, she wouldn't be in a place to try and intervene and save MC from execution: even a near-death experience doesn't always change someone who's used to being self-preserving--and self-serving--and cause them to risk their life for a Diminished employee just like that. I think by the time MC encounters Prihine again in Chapter 2, she'd be ready and willing to intervene on their behalf; but directly after the wedding, she hasn't "found herself" enough to go that far yet. 

Caine would similarly be devastated, and of course he would try to save MC/stop their execution from happening if he knew about it, but I don't think there'd be much a little twelve-year-old boy could do besides getting a clout over the head from the Inquisitors! He would definitely try to save MC though, even if MC hadn't been all that nice to him before saving his life!

And yes, the money that Prihine gives you if she lives is partly her father's payment LOL! She gives you a bonus though!

Ah, do you mean like the cheat codes? Here's the link to Red's cheat codes, which I'll also copy-paste here:

• Be inquisitive and curious. If you find a statue out in the middle of nowhere, be the type of person who wonders, “What is this depicting? And how did it get here?” instead of the person who goes “oh, weird” and moves on with their day.
  
• Have a rich inner life. In an AU one of Red’s biggest turn-offs would be someone who texts him like “I’m bored… Entertain me.” For him to fall in love with you, you ought to be the person who, when left to their own devices, tries out a new hobby or finds something to do of their own accord–not someone who just sits there and relies on others to provide them with entertainment or meaning. 
  
• Similar to the above, be independent and not too clingy. Red loves it if he can go do work without someone waiting on him or feeling like they can’t do anything without him. Someone who has their own life and is able to do their own thing while he does his own thing–and then come back together at the end of the day–is very attractive to him.

• Someone who is emotionally-intelligent and sensitive (not like sensitive as in easily-hurt, but someone who's attentive to the needs of others) is more attractive to someone than someone who's oblivious, overly-blunt, or emotionally-clumsy.
• He prefers mature people who are still adventurous and fun rather than very childish, immature, "cutesy" people. 
• Choosing generally altruistic, traditionally "good" choices FAR appeals to Red way more than amoral, indifferent, or self-serving choices. 

Anonymous: You have to marry one of your ROs tomorrow (for whatever plot-contrived reasons); which one do you pick? 

I'd marry Blade or Red, or possibly Briony or Lavinet, in that order!

Anonymous: Do any of the bi/pan ROs have a 'lean' in their attraction toward a certain gender ("30% female, 10% nb, 60% male" or something)?

Trouble: I think he's truly a 50/50-split bi; historically he's hooked up with more men than women just because that was primarily who he interacted with throughout his life, but I'd say he's equally attracted to both men and women!

Tallys: 33% female, 33% male, 33% nb, if that's a way of describing it: basically it's exactly even towards all gender identities/gender doesn't factor into how her attraction towards orders. That's also been true for her historically!

Chase: historically speaking, it's been about 45% male, 45% female, 10% nb for him in terms of past relationships, but in terms of base-level attraction, he's equally attracted to everyone!

Red: historically speaking, his past relationships have been like 75% female, 25% male. I think he has a slight lean of 40% female, 30% male, and 30% nb, but it's definitely fluid!

Ayla: she leans like 45% towards women, 35% male, and 30% nb, and has had a pretty even split between all three in terms of her historical relationships!

Briony: I think she leans 60% male, 40% female. Historically, she's only had relationships with men, but has had crushes on both men and women equally in the past. I think romantically she tends to be more interested in men, but sexually and physically tends to be more attracted towards women, if that makes any sense at all???

Blade: the first time he and MC kiss, he feels scalded, and spends the days afterwards touching his lips in wonder, still feeling the imprint of MC's lips there.

Lavinet: she can't sleep without MC in bed with her, his arm around her waist--when he's gone, she has to sleep with one of his shirts, but it's a poor substitute!

Anonymous: What are some things to keep in mind when romancing Chase? Hi there, this was answered in February's Q&A! Copying here:

• Showing trust in him is a big part of building a relationship with Chase. There are a few moments in the game where the MC can make a comment along the lines of "can you do this?" or "be sure not to mess this up..." or what have you, mostly because he acts so silly and unpredictable, and while Chase never outwardly shows that he notices this, having a strong show of faith in him is crucial to romancing him! Trust him and rely on him without reservation, because he's used to being mistrusted... so this will take him off-guard and make him really appreciate your relationship! He doesn't trust easily, either, so trusting him without reserve will make him reciprocate in turn!
• Similarly, never put him down for his past or his profession, or show doubt in his integrity. If/when you get the opportunity, build him up and help bolster his sense of self-worth rather than put him down or express disdain or skepticism! You can tease him, but don't act suspicious of him, like if something goes missing, don't accuse him of stealing it unless as a joke!
• There's a moment when Chase acts like a dick because he is starting to catch feels for MC and is scared by that and tries to torpedo the relationship to avoid opening himself up to that kind of pain and vulnerability... If you take his words at face value, this moment might be a deal-breaker for some players... but to avoid a bad ending with him, don't give up at that moment: he doesn't mean it and is just panicking!

Anonymous: In chapter 3 of the alpha build, what are the doubts/anxieties/insecurities that the demon is whispering to Blade/Chase/Red/Ayla during the scene with the doors? Also, if they were to hear the MC telling them awful things, (like the MC hears from them) what would be the worst thing they could hear (if they were romanced)? side note, but i absolutely adore your work and i'm genuinely proud to support you :)

The doubts and insecurities that the demon is whispering to Blade, Chase, Ayla, and Red continue from whatever nightmare they were trapped in; so for Blade, a lot of it has to do with how he's wrong for serving the Autarch, how people want him dead and that brings danger to both himself and the people around him (including MC); and fears that he's going to get the people working under him killed, and that none of them are going to make it out of there alive and it'll be all his fault for starting the Shepherds in the first place.

For Ayla it's about how her presence is going to screw up the mission, how no one wants her and she just tagged along but isn't as strong as the others, how she's a liability and how she'll never fit in anywhere and she might as well just serve as cannon fodder so the others can make it back home to the presumed loved ones.

For Chase it's about how he should have already died nine times over, how he's a criminal pretending at being a hero by being with the Shepherds, how he's morally corrupt and twisted inside and nothing can change that and he's just living a farce by fighting on their side, and how nothing can hide his true nature for long. 

For Red it's about how his ambition and goals are going to lead to others being hurt or even killed, how his disastrous and selfish experiments will bring doom on others and himself, how he's led everyone into peril by bringing them to the Phantom Shore and if anything happens, it'll be all his fault for dragging them into his mess in the first place.

I think the worst thing MC could say to each romanced!RO would be something similar and along those lines. For Blade and Red it would be something like "you're going to get me killed and I blame you," for Chase it's "you're not worthy of me and you never will be and we're both just fooling ourselves," and for Ayla it's "you're not wanted, no one would ever want a desert rat like you."

AmnesiacRabbit: In chapter 1 we can miss out on killing Faceless Lord, and I assume the same thing can happen further up a road. Will letting them live to come back to bite us?

Hmm this is a complex question to answer, so I'll do my best without spoiling too much!

I generally separate the game's endings (or endstates) into three different categories: the world, the MC, and the characters. Many times, these endstates are tied together: Tallys' ending, for example, can't be good if the world is in a certain condition, and sometimes they're just a bit more separate.

In terms of the Faceless Lords, letting them live can REALLY bite you in the butt in terms of all types of endstates and choices. BUT depending on your choices, it might not! (It's hard to explain without going into in-depth spoilers.) In terms of the world's condition at the end of the game, the best endstate (in my opinion) is with all of the Faceless Lords dead. BUT you can still achieve good endstates (OR terrible to the worst ones) with some of them still alive!

Most notably, the MC can achieve a "good" ending for themselves and for the other characters and ROs with the Faceless Lords alive, but a mediocre to bad ending for the world at large. 

...I hope that makes sense! To answer your question more succinctly, yes, it can definitely bite you, and it can lock you out of the best "world" endings, and it can lead to the worst endings possible, but it doesn't HAVE to. Hope that answers your questions!

Anonymous: Does taking the book from the equalist compound have any consequence outside of having it in our inventory? Will we have other chances to interact and gain points with Croelle other than the Tallys scene? How difficult is it to successfully romance Chase with an MC who views relationships similar to how he does?  

1) Taking the book has an effect on a few stats that I haven't coded into the build yet, and those stats (but not the single, individual choice itself) can affect a lot of the endstates of the game. The more immediate effect of taking the grimoire is that it gives you an alternate way to research and uncover the truth of the Faceless Lords in Chapter 2 if you fail to meet the requirements to do it yourself (arcane stat) or have Shery or Blade do it for you!

2) Yes, you will have other chances to interact with Croelle throughout the story, though the Tallys scene helps a lot!

3) It's not difficult to romance Chase in terms of initiating a FWB with him, but in getting into a long-term relationship with him? If MC just wants a FWB too I don't really see how that would happen!

Anonymous: What are blade’s thoughts on an mc in the latest alpha build update? an mc who is on the romance route with him and has hit all the flags, does he have a crush yet? 

Blade definitely has a crush at this point (in Chapter 4) but is not aware that it's a crush. So he knows he doesn't want MC to be cold and is REALLY worried about her and everything, and feels a fierce sense of protectiveness and fondness for her, but has not yet connected that to romantic intentions! (Also, the progression to a crush makes more sense with his day off scenes, but we are missing a few of those since the one before Chapter 2!)
