There actually is a “best selling” fanfic it’s called “After” it was a one direction fan fiction on Wattpad. It blew up and became an actual book (names got changed) and a movie got made based off the book and it’s on Netflix.

Wait is the movie called After too? also I'm very curious about how much the author of Fallout Equestria made from that fic, cuz I know they were selling physical copies for a while there and My Little Pony was pretty damn popular

The movie was also called After. They had to change character names so they didn’t get sued like Holden is supposed to be Harry and all that jazz.
