Celebrating One Year of At-Work-Sketches (Patreon)

I'm sure you've seen on my twitter how I post sketches that I do at work on those colorful little cards? Well, that little practice has turned one years old, and I wanted to do something special for it. Something that would kinda encapsulate the whole year. I've posted this on twitter, but I figured I'd scan these (with my new scanner, thanks to you guys!) and perhaps throw in some of my thought process behind it, lets go from left to right starting with Kobayashi.

When it came to choose a representative for the color orange, I had to go with Kobayashi's Magical Mammaries series! While not the first sequence I did with these work sketches, it's definitely the one I feel that made people start paying attention to them! Now why did I decide to have these on orange cards instead of something like pink to match Kobayashi's hair? I believe at the time I didn't have any pink cards on hand, and if you squint hard enough orange kinda looks like pink... or something.

Next up Yaomomo

For Yellow I felt I had to go with my long running Momo finding simple things exciting series. This one stands out since it isn't a growth fetish related sequence, it just Momo having fun doing something common folk do all the time. Also I'd like to point out that MILKFED is a real clothing brand in Japan, I'm not making this up! Why did I decide to draw Momo things on Yellow? I have no idea to be honest. Nice thing about yellow is that it's probably the best for readability.

Up next is Sae Nijima

There were many choices to choose from for Green, but I ultimately decided to go with Sae Nijima, to represent the『BOOB Magic』series. While Sae wasn't who started it, she's the character that actually had a long growth sequence with. Her and the Persona 5 crew kinda hijacked my work sketches for the month of July, mostly because I felt if I didn't, I'd lose interest before I got anywhere close to the vision I had for it, and if I went about it like my other sequences only going when the color would come back through rotation, I'd still be working on it. So if the overabundance of huge tiddies got you down that month, I apologize!

This next one needs no introduction 

I can't very well have a group shot of something regarding my art and not have Mio show up, especially when she was the character I started this whole endeavor on! She's often my go to girl to draw, so she's appeared in pretty much every color (except maybe orange?), she is probably best to represent the color blue (sorry Rikka!) this Mio is supposed to hearken back to these chubby Mio ones I thought were pretty cute. Not really a sequence, more of a running gag I guess. You know, I think is probably easier to make out what's drawn on the blue cards in photos and scans, than it is in person. lol

Nagato is up next.

It took me a bit to get a steady stream of purple cards, but I did manage to do a whole butt growth sequence with Nagato with purple. I think this is my only real ass expansion set I've done so far. Not sure what it is about Nagato that makes me thing huge fattening ass, but it is what it is.

Coming up is Rosa

Rosa here is actually from just a one off sketch that didn't evolve into a series or sequence at all. She's supposed to look BIG to go with the mini giantess thing she had going on there, though it's kinda hard to convey in such a tight space (she's supposed to be kneeling here, but Nagato's butt kinda obscures things). In hindsight, I probably should have went with Bernadetta or Ochako to fill the muscle niche, but I went with Rosa since it was arguably one of more popular sketches, plus we can kinda look at it as a representation of all the other one-offs I've done over the year! Depending on the lighting, pink and purple cards can look very similar to each other in photos.

Last up is Galko!

For red, is there really any other choice I could have made besides Galko? The story behind this sequence is kinda interesting, as it wasn't going to be a sequence at all to begin with! I decided to make a follow up of the first one mainly because of how hugely popular it was (it was my first sketch to actually reach over 1K likes on twitter). Then people were leaving comments about how her boobs seem to be growing, so I decided why the hell not, let's slightly make her boobs bigger each time. It's getting a little out of hand...

And there you have it, a long winded look into some of my thoughts on the whole thing. (oh right, they're all doing party things because it's a celebration, duh!) I never expected to do these sketches for so long, and definitely didn't see them getting popular! Here's hoping there's plenty more ideas floating in my noggin to fill out these colorful little cards for years to come!
