“Okay so the Doctor having kids is a bit of a complex one. in 1963 the very first doctor travelled with his grandaughter Susan and they caled themselves 'exiles' who were ‘cut off from their own planet' and we do not know why (everything in classic who is pre time war). There is never any mention of susans parents or other family in classic who so we do not know if he had children who lived on gallifrey when he destroyed the planet” I commented this on one of your previous videos. But syntell didn’t seem to remember so thought I would re comment it

Sutech was a 4th Doctor villain. There are some classic stories you may want to check out just to flesh out the background of some of the new Who stories. Probably to do the whole multi parters as one reaction. It's not necessarily required but it will enrich you viewing.

People were not against Whitaker because she was a woman. And they are not against Gatwa because he's black. The Whitaker stories were poor in plot and script's. The companions were not fleshed out in any way. They may as well have been cardboard cut outs on wheels that Jody could pull around behind her on string. They toyed with the idea of having a romantic relationship with one of the female companions which didn't work on any level. We all know the Doc likes Earth chick's. It would be better if she liked a dude. But that wouldn't look right and its all about looking right. Chibnal then destroyed 90% of Dr Who lore along with half the Universe which has not been addressed . Exit Dr 13 enter Dr 14 for the specials. The 1st one has the 2000 year old Timelord being told by a 15 year old Earth kid ( Rose 2.0) that he knows nothing while she knows everything. Dr 14 just accepts this. RTD then destroys another large portion of Dr Who lore which results in Ncuti. Remember the 1st Christmas Special were the Dr let's the aliens go. The last Special the Dr takes out the Goblins. Then before the current season RTD tells the fans that the show is not for them anymore they want the Zs who don't watch TV that much. Then Ncuti tells them to go out and touch grass instead. When nobody watches it its because they're racists. The displeasure with Dr Who is 7 years in the making with people in charge that don't see themselves as custodians but decided they can do what they want because they don't have sweep up afterwards. If its for a new non existent audience then why bring a villain back from 1974?

Please ignore anyone who suggests watching the 60th anniversary specials now (but i think its inevitable someone will spoil) To discover who Rose is you are so close for it to be clear now that you are in watching Tennant (though the next episode Of S1/14 might give it away & we can't help that) Once you are at the end of the 10th Doctor storywise it makes perfect sense to go back

i loved this episode. i keep wondering if they're gonna reveal that mrs flood, ruby's neighbour, secretly was susan the entire time. mel is by the way a classic who companion:) loved your reaction! we had the same guesses throughout the episode haha as a sidenote; i second the other commenter, about not watching the 60th anniversary specials, even to get caught up on the setup for this season — those specials explicitly talk about the way companions (some who you are yet to meet) exit the show.

I agree about the 60th anniversary specials. Wait until later, there are some big spoilers mentioned in passing. Plus, frankly, they were merely “ok” rather than “excellent”, so they can wait. if you decide you’d like more on the backstory, Pyramids of Mars *is* one of the better of the old series…plus it has Sarah Jane in it, to boot….

OMG 🤯 I totally forgot about that scene in "The Giggle" but I honestly think Empire Of Death will bring up story points from the 60th..I mean there has to be some explanation for why some people are not there 🤔🤫

I’m sure your intentions are good, but please be careful: there is nothing “off” about being transgender.

Disrespect is never intended, but if something feels disrespectful, then it’s not a problem for us to say we apologize, and will work harder on how we phrase our words.

Oh dear, i just saw part two of this. Lets just say…the cast are great, but I hope others enjoy the plot/storyline/script much better than I did.
