Personally: It's easier to appreciate the episode when watching someone else enjoy it. It's a good episode, no doubt. G.I. Joe wasn't big in my youth. Not sure why. I remember playing with some of the toys during time at other kid's houses. It wasn't outside of my time or anything. So that obviously took some of the nostalgia, and therefore, enjoyment away. I didn't really have tv much as a kid, minus Saturday morning cartoons. In short, I agree it's grown on me as well.
