dont worry, i think most people are effected by dobbys death more than any other you've seen, personally serious blacks death hit me more than dumbledoors and dobbys. And what I think lucius malfoys dad did to be in his posistion now is fail to get the proffecy as well as go in hiding while voldemort was gone. hes not seen as super loyal and he failed a mission.

I remember literally crying as I read HBP for the first time and got to Dumbledore’s death, that cut ten year old me to the core

Not sure if you noticed either of these things, but the Deluminator left to Ron was used by Dumbledore in the very first scene in the first movie and Bill Weasley's wife is Fleur Delacour, one of the Triwizard champions from Goblet of Fire.
