By the way, they like to do this sort of like fourth wall breaks or representations of them and their show like how they did with this one, look for that in future episodes

(I'm not saying there is anything wrong with your wording - there isn't!) Yeah, this show has always contained a lot of commentary. Sometimes that commentary is meta, or self-referential. I like how the show, when doing commentary, doesn't take a side, either. They just present different sides, and play with it and have fun/make comedy. Sometimes it is more directly on topic, sometimes it is metaphoric. Sometimes it is about the show itself. Something more on topic is the gun fever, the episode is literally about gun fever, and they also use it to indirectly commentate on guns. Most of the examples I can think of off of the top of my head are from episodes after 8x2, so I won't use them so I don't spoil anything. Instead I will make up a hypothetical example: they could have an episode that is about them arguing over eating hot dogs, but when you listen to their words, they are actually commenting on abortion, even though abortion isn't directly mentioned in the episode. Or, they could have an episode that is literally about people physically aging/becoming elderly, but it is indirect commentary on always sunny as a tv series, and it's journey over the years. This episode was full of throw-backs to the great oil sales episode and others. In this case, it can exist self-contained within the Sunny universe, since these characters actually did these things that Dee is remembering, and it is plausible that they could be doing many of the same things again in the future. But there is totally some commentary on re-using old episode ideas, and just changing a few things around and calling it a new episode mildly sprinkled in there. But that part is less direct than some of their episodes, where they have lots of dialogue that is very clearly filled with double meaning (the characters in the show's universe not intending the other meaning, but the writers intending for us the viewers to interpret and understand the double meaning).
