Honestly one of the 3 or 4 episodes on this show that I would skip on a re-watch. Even though it’s not the best though, still really good for first viewing to get an idea of Frank’s pask

I've always liked this episode. Keeps me cracking up. IDK, I'm black and my white friends don't like it so i guess thats part of it?

Only reason I don’t like it very much is I think a lot of Frank’s back story is boring compared the the gangs usual shit. The few jokes they had about like shadynastys and the reflection on our trash court systems are easily the highlights

Would love to see a Black Dynamite movie reaction if you've not seen that before

Jay Davis

Yeah, this is pretty much always listed among the bottom 5 episodes of the series.

I'm funny. When I started to google Always Sunny episode rankings, and looked at some discussion about some episodes and stuff, I realized that many of my favourites are consensus very high ranked, top episodes, also. But, a couple of my favourites are among the most universally disliked (or least liked). This episode is one of 'em. I can understand the cause of turn-off. But for me, I love seeing the odd one-off episode that is more single-character-centric, especially if it's one like this. It allowed them to explore a totally different creative style and artistic depiction of... well, what they are best at: taking a hot button subject that is considered controversial, and proceeding to intelligently comment on it (without taking, or pushing a side) via creative art. Lastly, they manage to make jokes that some shows wouldn't get away with, and actually make them funny. And well, just manage to make the whole episodes funny, despite the subject matter. The reason is what I said above, it isn't in poor taste and substance-less. The joke is never at the expense of the one subjected to the ignorance of the gang.

Young Frank's wig and behavior always kills me

Can't believe you caught the "Shady Nasty" double-meaning without even seeing it in writing :D

Jay Davis

Even after all these years, I still can't nail down Frank's bigotry quite right. He has a lot of the "old white guy" mindsets with the endless racial stereotypes (which are hilarious), but then there are times where he's surprisingly open and accepting. The one part of Frank that definitely doesn't discriminate though is his genitals.

It is funny, and crazy, so atleast is wasn't a basic story, I just cant find it as entertaining compared to their usual episodes
