As I watched this episode, I started to realize how many times future gags this one introduces and sets up for the future. Also, has anyone noticed that the new artwork for Season 15 is out (and being used by Hulu)? Season premier is next month. Oh...and WARNING! I just made the mistake of clicking on the wikipedia and saw all the episode titles for season 15. Avoid it if you don't want it to be spoiled.

My take on this one has always been that Frank and Dennis represent politicians and then Mac and Charlie represent the people. Frank and Dennis spend their time in the backroom talking about how to cook the books and make money off their positions, and then occasionally they slip out to get Mac and Charlie fighting about something dumb again so they can keep em distracted and keep cooking the books.

Better way to look at it is that Frank is the government and Dennis is the media, in the beginning Dennis was with the people, but eventually the media turned into the government's puppet, because people don't trust the government, because he's a piece of shit, and ugly, and he oozes sleaze, and he's very very ugly. And what does the media do? distract the people from what the government is really doing, and pits them against each other.
