Great reaction! though as you noted, it's almost impossible to catch everything that's happening, so quickly does it all fly by. I don't think there's any real intent to depict GOB as gay -- it's more that he's so self-centered that he's oblivious to nuances of behavior. The one who's been clearly established as gay from the start (and even more oblivious) is, of course, Tobias. It's interesting seeing this again after so many years have passed. When it was new, Craig Robinson wouldn't have popped out at me; he certainly does now! I did know Ed Begley Jr. and JK Simmons -- they've been around a long time.

I see a lot pf parallels between Dennis from It's Always Sunny and Gob in that both flirt with being gay simply due to being so self-absorbed.
