The gang's completely bizarre explanations of how science/medicine works is one of my favorite themes throughout the series. So far we've learned that cigarette smoke floats into the sky and turns into stars, and it's also useful to suffocate toxins in your stomach. Some of my favorite episodes involve those explanations. I can't wait for some of the future ones though (especially one episode in a few seasons!)

This episode highlights one of Mac's characteristics of being protective over people and also cleaning everything and his motherly nature, which comes from the fact that he is the one who had to do that when he was young. His father was in prison his whole life, and his mom didn't do anything but watch tv and smoke cigarettes, so a lot of those duties likely fell on him, which makes him who he is today. Another fun fact, this is the first episode where we don't see Paddy's Pub at all!
