Chelsea Peretti, who plays Gina (what's her name) was a writer on Parks & Rec. April was very much based on--and written in--her voice. :) Hope you keep on this one. Great show that really gets better every season.

love this showwww. I would love a series reaction, the show gets so much better. mose from the office (michael shur) cocreated this and parks and rec.. the show "gets it" and things that dont hold up even a few years later like terry completely unjustified shooting his gun they acknowledge and (no spoilers) they have some great later episodes

If you're noticing similarities between this and Parks & Rec, it's no a coincidence. Both shows were created by the great Mike Schur. Jake Peralta = Andy Dwyer Amy Santiago = Leslie Knope Charles Boyle = Ben Wyatt Rosa Diaz = April Ludgate Terry Jeffords = Chris Traeger Capt. Holt = Ron Swanson Gina Linetti = Donna Meagle & Tom Haverford Hitchcock & Scully = Jerry Gergich Btw, If you wanna see Jerry get with April (as you mentioned), I'd recommend watching the cast on Seth Meyers singing the Lil' Sebastian song 🤣🤣🤣

This is very much not true. Chelsea Peretti didn't join the writer's room for Parks and Rec until season 3. April was written using Aubrey Plaza's real personality.

I love this show - hope you keep up with the reactions! Also you are correct, the show was canceled by Fox after the 5th season but NBC picked it up for the 6th season.

This is a creation of Michael Schur, like Parks & Rec and The Good Place. Gina, the civilian administrator (which means she hasn't had any police training, she's an office administrator with only office duties) isn't supposed to be high -- though I sure understand why you'd say so -- that's just the actress's voice and delivery... her comedic trademark, if you will. In real life she's married to Jordan Peele, and as the series goes on I find her to be the one grating note in the ensemble; I love all the other characters.
