I love this show :D solid to the very end. I remember I was always kind of put off watching it... I was under the impression it would be more chick flicky but then one day a friend recommended it to me. Glad I decided to check it out.

Same, I put it off until early 2020 when we all went into lock down and finally decided to give it a try and ended up binging right through wondering how I'd slept on it so long. I must've been imagining some kind of more serious-in-tone religious show like 7th Heaven or something. Remember that old show? Lol

One of the best modern comedies. Definitely doesn’t stay “light;” a big draw of the show is how it dives into deep topics of moral philosophy and existence, but is still consistently funny. Also this was originally aired as a two-parter, that’s why the ending spot is so random. If you end up keeping on with it, definitely keep away from further research. Show has some good plot points that you don’t want to spoil for yourself.

After watching this show with my sister we spent the next few weeks using the good-place version of cuss words in almost every sentence. They're so funny. Also IMO the show gets much better. I wasn't sure about it at first but it gets much deeper and also much funnier. Also, it has some great plot twists if you can avoid the spoilers.

1. Not a stretch. I'm hardly the only person calling her out for profiting off of faking her race. 2. Not out of context in a conversation about who is or isn't in the bad place and hearing Ariana Grande's name pop up. Something out of context would be bringing up JK Rowling when nobody had mentioned her.

It's definitely a bit a stretch to imply her success hinders on the darkness of her fake tan. You're just using the reverse of saying eminem was only as successful as he was because he's white. So, which is it that makes someone more successful? I'm just saying you're promoting "truths" that are fundamentally flawed.
