The amount of stuff that goes over his head for an intelligent person is funny. He must be really good at math and/or science. He reminds me of all the super smart engineers I know. They are far more intelligent than this simple lawyer, but the amount of stuff they just don't know that I consider basic knowledge is shocking.

Might just be an age thing, he became governor almost 20 years ago and hasn't been for about 10. (though. I do agree, we engineers do have weirdly specialized knowledge, often to the point of missing obvious things lol)

It's most episodes of Community and Parks, but yeah that could be it too. I would not be able to name a song from a mainstream artist in the last maybe 10 years. Again, he is clearly smart and gets tons of the underlying themes and subtle messages, but the pop culture and historical references not so much. I forget how old these two shows are, since I never stopped watching or caring about them.
