for majority of players, their weapon and secret to scoring is certain angle and positioning of the ball. meaning they want ball to be at certain point of field or come to them from certain angle. in order to achieve it they control ball to bring it to that position or they get to place where their favorite angle is posible. Controlling ball is essential for that but Isagi lacks the ability to control the ball. his weapon is "direct shot" which allows him to make a shot without controlling ball at all. Where Nagi has insane ability to control ball as he wants with insane footwork and fast thinking Isagi cant do any of that and his weapon is predicting where he can score from and then shoot from there without controlling ball at all

The "direct shot" that Isagi is talking about is taking a shot as the pass reaches you. In hockey it's called a one-timer.

There was actually 5 different buildings, but each of them believed they were teams V-Z, that is why isagi was confused seeing Team X and W on players arms, because in their building those teams were eliminated.
