you know its funny. i noticed Albedo being disrespectful but somehow didn't notice him not having the giant red ball lol. Armor was on the prince btw so he should have it now.

Cocytus is a warrior, so he respected brain as a warrior. Even taking his weapon as a trophy, what I'm thinking I'd maybe cocytus was to give him a proper burial because he respected brain's resolve? I don't think he would ask Ainz to bring him back, since he respected his resolve it would he like spitting on that resolve if he asked Ainz to bring him back. The prince had the armor, until he died. Maybe Ainz has it or out of respect left it with the prince, and I know last season Ainz mention that the sword can kill him when fighting against stronoff since Ainz wanted it to be a fair fight. I would love to see movies, and anything else you wanna post! Whatever makes you happy is whats most important. I genuinely can't wait for OCT for the new animes coming out! As well as my birthday that's in Oct lol.

im also excited for the coming season. but still trying to emotionally recover from the news that chainsaw man is just gonna be one cour

It's funny to me about how many people like Brain and were sad when he died. After all Brain was pretty much a rapist and a murderer by proxy. You saw what happened to Tuare - the girl Sebas rescued from a brothel in Season 2. Brain was working with and protecting the criminals who kidnapped women and sold them to brothels like that one. In Season 1 the bandits that attacked the carriage Shalltear, Sebas and Solution were in were Brain's accomplices. The bandits didn't know Shalltear was in the carriage but they were planning to kill Sebas, rape Solution and sell her into sexual slavery. Brain never had to answer for any of that and died looking like a hero.

It probably doesn't make much difference but to be fair as far as I know Brain never was directly involved in any of the dirtier work. He must have known what was going on though and just turned a blind eye. His only reason for hanging out with the bandits was because he was looking for strong enemies to fight. He was training himself to get stronger so that he could beat Gazeff Stronoff next time they met. Brain's work with the bandits was limited to fighting strong enemies. If the bandits were attacking weaklings or undefended carriages Brain wouldn't get involved.

It's actually a similar effect to people not realizing how bad Ainz was until Season 3. If you actually go back and re-watch the first 2 seasons he does some pretty effed up stuff in those but it was mostly off-screen and only mentioned in dialogue so people missed it. I'm not counting the stuff that Demiurge gets up to that Ainz isn't fully aware of. People get really upset when characters like Arche, Gazeff or Zanac die but in their world death is a mercy. I get more upset about the tortured ever after endings. Arche got lucky and died a painless death. The rest of her teammates were tortured (eaten by cockroaches then healed with magic to be eaten again repeatedly) for who knows how long after. They might still be being tortured right now for all I know.

I think people like Brain specifically because he was so shitty at the start. He grew a lot throughout the seasons. When he was at his shittiest and faced an overwhelming force he broke ran and was put in his place. Then after the meeting up with gazef again and meeting climb and sebas he grew a lot as a person. To the point where instead of running from and overwhelming force to save himself he gave it his all in an effort to stop the invasion. He failed obviously but he clearly grew a lot. As a fighter and a person.

I don't tend to look down on cowards because I pretty much am one myself. I do admire people who overcome their fear though. That part of Brain's journey from coward to hero (maybe?) is admirable but I do think the truly despicable things he did were downplayed to the point where many viewers didn't realize the truth of it. In season 2 when Brain, Sebas and Climb raided that brothel and rescued the women there it came across as a fairly heroic moment of triumph for the trio. However it's not hard to imagine that some of the women they rescued from the brothel ended up there in the first place as a consquence of Brain's actions. Actually after reading the light novel I've noticed that the anime tends to make a lot of Nazarick's victims come across as more decent/noble/heroic than they actually were. Not to say they deserved what happened to them but it does recontextualize some things. For example in the Lizardman arc from Season 2 the Lizardmen are a lot more virtuous appearing than they are in the novel. One thing I picked up from the novels was how much of an emphasis the Lizardmen put on strength. If one of their tribe was weak they would likely be either cast out or killed. Even the chiefs of their tribes are chosen by combat which means it's usually not the most capable leader in charge but the best fighter. In fact the Lizardmen's respect for strength means that they don't totally hate being conquered by Ainz because from their point of view it is the natural order of things for the strong to dominate the weak. They don't love it but they respect Ainz's strength as well as the fact that he is a fairly benevolent ruler.

will never understand why people get upset because you miss a few things. Explaining stuff so you don't get confused - ok But not noticing all details noticed by LITERALLY thousands of people discussing this stuff together? -.- ______________________________________________________________________________ As far as I understand Ainz' reasoning: If all the effects in the fight were done with a world item (like Ainz first assumed) it's something he can estimate from the items he knows & what level of power he can expect from a world item. On the other hand, if the Dragon used something else (like a skill) to set up the barrier & other effects - it's something Ainz doesn't know; something powerful at that (since it took Albedo's World Item to counter the barrier)...and also more different effects than a world item could produce. So he's willing to take another loss to do his homework & understand the ability that was used there - because if he goes all-in & it turns out that the guy can sacrifice even more HP for even MORE powerfull effects, Ainz might not be able to counter that easily without understanding what's going on
