So I’ve been reevaluating my channel and content and I’ve made some decisions. I posted the first episodes of Gintama and Psycho Pass on YouTube and it’s not yielding great results. Because of this, I’ve decided to make them Patreon only shows. I made a commitment to you guys so I will finish out the month reacting to them and then reevaluate once the month of June arrives. I will be putting Gintama under the Reactor tier and Psycho Pass under the Drama club tier.

I need to put out content that is going to help my channel grow and the older shows just aren’t doing that for me. So moving forward I’ll be picking up more currently airing shows. Those shows will be Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie and (most likely) Summer Time Render.

EDIT: since I’m picking up new shows and moving psycho pass to the drama club tier I will be dropping seraph of the end. I don’t want to have too many shows on my plate. Hopefully you guys can understand.

That’s all for now guys. See you in the next reaction.

Makes sense. Recent shows get more traffic, so scoop some of the hottest shows to fill those spots. If you have to slow down the gintama reactions a bit to get it done I think it's understandable, but that's just me

Summertime render is really good and is a very different genre to any other shows currently airing or that you are watching, however, it is only available on disney+ at the moment I believe which means less people are watching it than if it was on Crunchyroll or funimation. Still is ranking in the top 5 popular shows this season though, after SpyxFam, Kaguya, yaboykongming (in that order)

Good idea. I was just gonna suggest you to put Gintama and Psycho Pass for patreon since editing videos for YouTube wouldn’t be beneficial for you at all. I would suggest doing a double upload like Hunter x Hunter for Gintama if you want to get through it faster since you won’t need to edit them now.

A lot less attention for summer time rendering indeed, very underrated. I heard people like yaboykongming but I won’t watch it as I felt that it was offensive to our culture and history, oh well.

I have not seen it yet but saw this post a while ago about that topic, give it a read if you have a spare minute or two https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/u104mj/thoughts_on_ya_boy_kongming_from_a_chinese/

Okay I took the time to read it. Not gonna lie I’m a little interested now. However I still feel different from this Redditor as he seems to be a fan of kongming because of the novel. It’s a little different for me as he was a important figure that wisdom, dedication and loyalty cannot fully describe his significance in our country. I still feel weird about how they used him in a comedy anime

seems like the best course of action. its pretty fair imo

Thanks for the update! And I suport your decision, somtimes you just have to do what's best for the channel!

If you are looking for some videos that can grow the channel, i think there are a few abridged series that always do fantastic to my knowledge. For example: Hellsing Ultimate abridged (My personel favorite) DBZ Abridged SAO Abridged At least for the last 2 reactors where i watched them, they tend to have about 10x more views on them than on their regular uploads. Both have usually around 1k-5K per video, but around 40k-70k for these series. So it might be worth considering. (They are also great btw)

In the spirit of reacting to shows that help grow your channel, I'd say stick to the basics: 1. Lots of audience and discussion, and preferably something that is fresh online (but this last part isn't that important). 2. Exciting and/or surprising moments that people talk about - eg: red wedding from GOT, episode 1 ending of Invincible, etc.

2023-01-16 01:09:59 totally get it, completely legit to also want to get something out of such a big time investment. something you should consider as well then may be: a) branching out more; e.g. more non-anime shows if you're interested ("Halo" came out pretty recently & youtube reactions to episode 1 sit between 6.5k & 138k views depending on channel coming anime to watch; e.g. Overlord s4 (already on your list I think) & JJK (release in 2023, but I vaguely remember you not hyping it as much as many as others)
